This is for everyone that feels the need to ask the dreaded "help im retarded and i can't breath unless you tell me how to!"
I'll admit i did it.
Thread is to remind those that are new that a KA is a great first build that can be extremely confusing or simple if you remember the first steps.

First the basics of an engine
Spark... Fuel.... Air....

Someone will cry "MY CAR WONT START!". Well i did and spent literally hours trying to figure out why my starter was pushing but it just wouldn't kick.
Well i was checking my fuel lines(wasted gas!!!) to the injectors and so forth. pulling plugs checking for spark. Well end of the day realized that i forgot to plug the coil plug back in my dizzy.

Well newbies(as am i)
Check your vacuum lines, everything you took apart is back where it belongs.
Tighten all of your hoses and clamps.
It should then start to turn over and start(somewhat of a start)
If your running a turbo, remember, the stock ka24de maf.... doesn't like boost. If your idle screw does absolutly nothing..... seafoam it gently(pour it in the brake booster line.).
I went from wanting to crush my car to just needed a new maf in a week because i stepped back, stopped asking questions, and just went back to the basics. If you don't know the basics, find a friend, PM me, i have nothing better to do and the experienced tend to not remember what its like to know nothing.
If you have any personal experiences of simple steps being missed add them, someone else will run into the same issue and you may save them a lot of money in replacing parts that are functioning fine.

Cause there are so many little things people ask or want to ask, its more of a reminded to look back at the simple little things before bugging everyone. If this thread is a waste of time then ignore it, but i know i would have loved to have some reminder of the stupid things rather then all the time i wasted because i got slightly overwhelmed.

Best way i've found so far. Been running like this for over a year.http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h273/carmaniac1993/PCVsetup.png

^ that seems to be the consensus from what i've read.

I guess I will remove the pcv and put a 3/8 npt to 3/8 barb fitting in place of the pcv.

is it necessary to have a check valve on the hose running from the pcv port to the catch can?

and is this setup at all detrimental to a naturally aspirated KA?
