hey! what's up every one.
got a little question, what are the difference in performance between NGK platinum & NGK iradium??? the platinum are 13bugs a piece and the iradium are $4 dollars less than platunum(per piece)... I thought the Iradium was more expensive. Any way my question is the difference in their performances.
What should I get Iradium or Platinum. it's for my new KA engine.
TIA :wiggle:

Huh, that must have been a misprint. I don't think I've ever seen platinum plugs for $13 (maybe the 3 platinum bosch?????). If you want the best performance, especially for a turbo car, are you sitting down, copper. I've got a set of NGK copper plugs I'll sell you for $20 a plug. j/k Iridium is a compromise between copper and platnum. It supposedly gives a lot longer life than copper but with a more even burn than platinum.

OEM Platinum NGK's for SR20DET's are hard to come by in the US so a lot of people buy Iridiums. Of course a lot of people also start their SR engines up for the first time, run really rich and foul their plugs... doh. I prefer the copper plugs but I pull them pretty often durring the warm months. I try to pull them before I go to the track to make sure everything is okay. Spark plugs are a poor mans WB-O2 :)

Personally, for a stock KA I'd go with the platinums.
