FS gmV8 swapped 95 240sx 7K
Ok let me say I did not do the swap I got it already done this way and although its pretty quick its just not my flavor. its a s14 with a ls/lq engine and built th350
The Car
95 240sx base model hard top interior is decent a couple of cracks in the dash steering wheel is pretty decent a couple of tears in the drivers floor and passenger as well rear seats seem great all plastics are there except for the radio bezel. pillar pod with a volt and oil PSI guages, 5 lug swap z32 front brakes stock 5 lug rears, prothane poly bushing kit, J30 LSD diff, custom 2.5' Y into a 3' "exoticspeed" cat back exhaust, it needs paint and the rear fenders have been pulled a little fairly straight body there is a dent about the size of a baseball in the hood in the corner and the rear drivers quarter appears to have had body work done before but besides that its not terrible. It now has rota grids painted tiffany blue 17x9.5 +30 with an 8mm spacer all around 245/40/17's on the front with decent tread left and 275/40/17's on the rear with maybe 200 miles on them headlights have been buffed but still original ones so you imagine and one headlight the inside tab is broken so they used some like sheet metal and made their own bracket, aftermarket tranny and engine oil dipsticks, also the car has a bunch of stickers on the rear window but if someone is interested obviously a razor blade will take care of them
The engine as by what I was told by the previous owner
LQ4 which is an iron block 6.0 (If it was an aluminum block it would be considered an LS2) originally 150k on the engine he put new bearings and rings and had about 1200 miles when I got it has gm maf and a custom 4' intake pipe, 317 heads cut .025 heads mildly ported, 3 angle valve job, AFR double valve springs, Comp chromoly push rods, new LS7 lifters, New LS2 lifter trays, 230/236 112LSA .600/.605 lift cam, New LS2 timing chain, New melling 296 pump, LS6 intake, C6 Zo6 manifolds, Walboro 255, ported LS1 throttle body, ARP rod bolts, MLS head gaskets, 240 radiator with dual electric fans, New alternator (truck 130 amp) starter/water pump/idler and tensioner pulleys, new balancer all Fbody brackets it has a new AC compressor its just not wired and the stock ac parts were in the trunk when I got it minus the custom hoses
the car is currently on a stock 6.0 reflash and it needs a tune desperately sometimes it doesn't like to idle because of it
NO power steering
The Tranny
is a built th350 I was told it has a 3k stall but if I rev it to about 2300 it will start to spin so I dont believe it but it is built it will chirp second not even trying and does like to shift hard if you have your foot in it it does have a decent sized tranny cooler
THE BADS
cut stock springs ok ok I know stupid yes but hey its what was on it. The windows do work drivers side has a weird short in it I wiggle the switch and it works the driver's door lock acuator is not there but the passenger works with the unlock switch,
you can see some tranny fluid on teh bottom of the pan but I've never had to add fluid to it still appears to be on the same spot on the dipstick
No radio
Windshield wipers do NOT work
Fuel gauge does NOT work
Reverse lights do NOT work
Speedo does NOT work (yes tach works)
The fans are wired on a switch
Car was wired by the guy who built it and not knocking him I just feel he got it to run then said that was good so the ecu was wired directly to the battery and it was killing the battery when I got it so needless to say after 3 days I had to replace the battery so its right at 2 months new and I installed a master power switch were the radio used to be
Headlights, break lights, and turn signals all work and the car runs and drives I've had it about 2 months and been driving it legally for about a month tagged and insured in fl with a clean FL title (originally a Mississippi car) pretty quick car and fun to drive but like I said its just not my flavor to put the little time in it to fix the minor things I'm probably forgettign things and I can text more recent pictures as I don't have any on my laptop car is located in Live Oak fl price is 7000 OBO you can reach me at 386-209-0411 or email me at [email protected]
