Ok guys i have a slight issue that i need opinions on. The car is a 92 s13 hatch with an RB20DET s1. Not stock.

So i was coming back from a local drift event yesterday, (wasnt tracking my car, just spectating) and it started pouring down raining. My intake is in a really bad place and water can get on it pretty easily. So its partially my fault lol. anyways, as i was driving in the rain the car pretty much loses all power (still runs) just wont go anywhere and smells like ALOT of fuel. Like really rich running. and it's blowing smoke. kind of a blueish tint to it. but not like a burning oil blue. anyway i pull over wait for the rain to slow down a bit and try to drive it. Had no choice as i was about an hour away from my house and i can't get onto any rollbacks as how low the car sits. as i was driving it it felt like as soon as it would come onto boost it would start missing and have no power. but if i would keep it strictly in vaccuum it would drive fine. As as i was about 5 mins away from my house the car practically dies and i had to pull over. turned it off and tried cranking it and it wouldnt turn over to save its life. So this is where i am at now and would appreciate any advice as to what went wrong. Im thinking the ecu freaks out when it senses water and dumps a ton of fuel. which may have fouled the plugs. I went out to start it this morning, starts perfect as it did before and idles perfect all the way up until it gets warm. then the idle slowly dies, sounds like it's running on 4 cylinders or something. Again, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Here is a picture of the intake fitment under the bay. As you can see, its right under the fender so water can leak down over the hood, into the bay and on top of the intake. I have now got another intake and fixed that so that shouldn't happen anymore. But my car is still running like shit.

have you acted on any of those ideas you had? i.e: did you pull the plugs to check if they are fouled?

i changed the plugs about two weeks ago. but with all the fuel it was dumping it could've fouled them too. Im just trying to get advice on what COULDVE went wrong before i start tearing shit apart so i can do it all at once.

check ECU for codes and change plugs, probably wouldnt hurt to use some CRC MAFS Cleaner

Idles until it gets warm, then dies? and it sounds like it is running on 4 cylinders?

Could be that you screwed up your maf, plugs and O2 sensor. The O2 and plugs would be from the extra fuel, the maf from H2O.

I am just guessing though, it has been a while since I helped troubleshoot car problems over the internet.

well see the thing is if the maf was messed up wouldnt it not rev above 3k? it revs well above 3k. ill spray some cleaner on it, and change the plugs. See if that helps.

It doesn't really die, like said before, just idles very shitty. like it's missing or something.

Back to running normal. all my power is back as well. Cleaned the maf, changed the plugs.

Maf had a good bit of dirt built up around it. Ecu probably freaked out and dumped all sorts of fuel. Which flooded it and wouldn't start. And smelled like gas until i let it sit overnight. Got myself a new intake so water doesn't get on it.
