Key out, ignition power stays on.

What it is not,

Ignition switch- I've unplugged the switch and tried known good switch
Alternator- unplugged it, good ground to case
Short on a wire- Before problem started, and after problem started, nothing had changed besides head re install
Aftermarket gauge/stereo wiring- as shotty as it is, it's all been unplugged and problem persists
ECU-Many have been tried, and now on a power fc, still the problem.

What I know,

-The Eccs/Egi relay is where the issue can be seen, 1.22 volts on the Black/White wire which is switched-ground inside the ecu to "auto-shut off" the ignition power 1 second after key out. [Correct me if I'm wrong]

-If I jumper the 12v constant Red wire inside the eccs relay's opening to the Black/white wire, the car will start and run normally.

I have access to the sr20 ecu pinout, and the 240sx chassis full wiring diagram.

Suggestions, input, feedback, opinions.. Anything is welcome and THANK YOU!!!! in advance.
My helping hand and utmost thanks is to anyone who's had, and conquered this problem on their car and can help.

How do u know ignition power is staying on, did u meter ignition wire after shutting key off and see if it has 12v still?

The dash cluster lights stay illuminated

as well as a full 5v to my big Red/Black wire on the check connector is found(big unused clip near driver's left leg), also the same Black/White wire has the 1.22 volts at the same check connector.

Did you rub through the harness ? I did and that's what's mine did. Check under the wheel well to see if any wires are touching. It happend to me and my car would try starting it self while driving lol. And the interior lights would not turn off.

Does sound like u got some wires shorting together, i believe ignition wire travels from switch to pass side in wheel well, might have to trace it all the way to find the prob, good luck! :wtf:

That's extremely possible..

I'd like to keep the pulling of the harness to re insulate it, the last attempt at fixing the problem. Right?

I'll check that wheel well, very well for an issue standing out. My last car had the loom rubbed through and fixing that had fixed wipers, headlight motors, and fuel pump relay clicking issues at the time. (Great place to find issues, so thank you!)

-For now..I'm able to pull the bulb check relay and it shuts the interior lights off.
But this shouldn't be a permanent ghetto rig...

Still needing some other things to rule out.

-Has a Cas or maf ever internally shorted? I can probably check that by looking for continuity between the Black/White wire on the cas to any of the other three prongs!!

I had this problem. It ended up being a short between my ignition and the fusebox. What happened was I had a hose clamp rub through the harness that goes underneath the top of the radiator support.

Check the wiring under your fender first. Mine was fine, so what I did to find the short easier instead of unwrapping the entire harness was I went to about the middle of the fuse box and igntion switch, so for me it was the fender area, and cut the red/black main ignition wire. Then I took my multimeter and saw that I still had current coming from the fusebox, so I knew the short wasn't underneath my dash/on that side of the harness. Then I unwrapped it from there. Good luck!

Oh, also I've heard of the bulb check relays 'sticking.'
