so i m getting my fn01r-c's ordered on friday and i need to order rear tires next week, im getting 17*8 +25 front and 17*9 +35 rear
for front tires i m gonna use 225-40-17 nitto 555's since i have them left over from my old rims and they should last 2 or 3 months still. but for he rear i was thinking
245-40-17....Yokohama AVS ES100
245-40-17....Dunlop SP Sport FM901
245-45-17....Falken Azenis Sport
245-45-17....Yokohama AVS ES100
255-40-17....AVS ES100
255-40-17....Nitto NT 555
i got it narrowed down to these 3 sizes, i plan on running gtp wide rear panels, i already have them so i can cut out my fender wells about 2" or as far up as i can, 1 rear quarter is dented in already so i m not hurting them.....oh yah i got a rev speed meter so tire size doesnt matter much, and i m thinking about going to the tt rear ring cause i hate how short 1st and 2nd feel and i can launch in second with stock wheels/tires.....my car isnt for drag or drift, it gets alittle bit of every thing.

right now i like the es100 a little more cause of the 280 tread ware, and the 245-40 size, but size wise what do you guys think? i was thinking of the azenis too then switchin to them on the front later too if i got them...but i gotta waste my almost new nittos first.

why did you decide to stagger sizes?
If I'm not mistaken, you don't have enough power to spin 255s (or even 245s) if your listed mods are all you have. Why don't you take it easy and run some 225 all around? Why do you need the staggered setup? Did you disconnect your front swaybar? (if so, you should put it back in) Do you have just a Largus rear sway bar and lots of rear end chassis stiffening parts with no front end chassis stiffening stuff?
Put the shittos out back and the ES100 in front so you don't understeer too much. xp

wtf are you talking about, any ways i m going ka-t later this summer and i m not into tons of wheels so i m not gonna buy a ton of rims, i also dont want to spin them, for that i d throw on some stock s14 wheels, but anyway i think streched tire looks nasty so no 225 on back, with a 9, i ran the 225 nittos on the back with my old rims and i could spin that so a 245 should be good for now.... im going with a stagered set up cause i dont want a 9" up front.
so any one else wanna help me out with ideas.......

i was going to get 17*8.5 dt05r's +25 all around and 245's all around but then i saw their weight vs. the weights of the fn01rc's and switched back to getting the fn01's...i doubt i could fit 9"s all around even with the 20mm wide fenders, but as a ka-t i m going with a mild built motor to get 300-350hp so i should be able to spin them all i want......i got a few friends that drift and want me to start but right now it s just a street car.....

with the coils i d need to get +15 and i dont have room for that, +35 might not fit my coils, i had to run a 10mm spacer with my last wheels and they were +40 or +42, making +30 or +32

just get all new tires. there is no sense in putting OLD tires on new wheels...especially if the tires are only going to last 2-3 months. you'll just have to pay to get them dismounted and remounted again. lame-age.
