First find a pic thats the right size, then right click and goto propertie's for that pic, and copy the URL. The go into your profile and read the "help" section thats next to the avatar section, you want to read the "personal avatar" section of the help, that will tell you what to do.

Just make sure you don't make the picture TOO big, otherwise you'd push things on the page over when you post. I think my avatar tends to do that sometimes. >_>

The size of yours is fine takumi. Ideally they should be 64x64, but that doesn't really give you much room. Try to keep them under 160x120, and keep the filesize as small as possible.

It's not bad, alittle big, but not pushing the page past the edge of the screen. Funny thing is, i have the smallest avatar on this page, but mine takes up the most bytes

All has to do with compression, the colors in the image, etc. Especially with GIF images. You can have a 1000x100 PX image that's all one color, and if it's a GIF, it'll most likely be under 1k

dood, you don't need to keep posting to test it :-)
When you get it right, it will change your avatar on all posts, past and present.

teampulse, try renaming that image to a .txt on the server as well as where you put the avatar source name. It should get by the tripod image blocker.

Now in the properties section, the file name I'm looking for is the MS-Dos name right? I've got 240-6.jpg If this is what I'm looking for, then how would I write it in the personal avatar box in my profile.

s14kat, right click the pic and goto properties. then copy the url. next paste the url in the slot for it in your profile. select personal from the menu above it on the profile page and then submit it. go back to your profile again and see if the picture comes up when you select personal under the avatar list.

Allright this need's to be done <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
First find a photo of the correct size on the INTERNET, it cannot be on your home computer.
Right click on the photo and goto the propertie's like in the pic.
