rear half axle nuts (hubs center ones)

AND

The whole subframe (with lsd and axles) is out of the car. That means I can't use e-brake or whatever to stop the whole thing turning while I turn the but. and you know those nuts are SUPER DUPER TIGHT.

I don't have air tools and I don't want to bring it to a shop doing it. I think it's stupid to pay someone to remove nuts....LOL

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff

sorry man, an impact gun would make quick work, go get an electric one or something to use on it.

Put a long pole on the end of your ratchet for leverage. Get a long piece of thick angle iron and drill 2 holes in it. Bolt it on to your wheel studs.

or just brace a pole between the existing wheel studs.

He may bend the wheel studs that way... or fuck up the threads on them.

probably. guess it'll depend on what parts he's trying to get at. wheel studs are dirt cheap anyways.

it might me easeist to put the subframe back on the car and just do it there. unless there is some reason why you can't.

That's the only good way you're going to get them off.

that wont stop it from bending them.

nissan axel nuts will break half in sockets, extentions and ratches sometimes before they come off. An impact gun will do nothing.

haha my mom said put some club soada on it and try and get it off then jk jk. what you should do is the pry bar idea would work great. or just get a long ratchet and do that. or hey just get some of that stuff that "supposidly" helps loosen bolts never tried it but it might work

that stuff actually works, there are a few things that help getting nuts/bolts out....like PB blaster and WD-40...

I took mine to a shop, and the mechanic was nice enough to use the impact gun to take the nut off for free. The impact gun does work! I tried PB blaster, but I couldn't get it out. It got other nuts out though, so maybe i just needed to soak it for a couple more days.

If you know a mechanic you usually go to, or if ur friends do, take it there and ask them to take it off for you. Takes them 1 to 2minutes tops with the impact gun.

Good Luck

Got a propane torch I would heat the nut make an angle iron bracket to bolt to the lug studs and then ratchet it off if it bends the lug studs then they wont hold your tire on at 100+ miles an hour and you needed to change them anyway. my .02

The problem isnt that the bolt is stuck, its just that if you try to loosen it, the whole axle will rotate...I had this same problem removing an lsd from a subframe...just get creative and put bars around the axles so they dont spin. I wouldnt use a wrench though, I bent the shit out of one of mine!
