Ok here's the mod list
Built bottom end, PDM built/spec'd head, TO4E 50 Turbo, Custom piping. should be near 400hp to the wheels. ACT 4 Puck X-treme pressure plate. My question is should I go to a 1 piece driveshaft or just stick with the 2 piece. Its basically a drag car with a little street use. yeah I know it sounds like a newbie question but this is one thing I don't know shit about.

If it's straight drag, get a one piece, because it will have less rotating mass. If you can spend it, get a carbon fiber because it will be the lightest, but aluminum works. I know enjuku sells an aluminum one, and you can contact CF driveshaft makers to custom build one.
Less rotating mass makes faster revving, and less driveline losses.

its basically a drag car but its going to be street driven occasionally. nice weekends and whenever I'm in the mood to take it out to go find some dinner (camaros and mustangs, civics are just an apetizer) I'm familiar with rotating mass and going faster. I was unsure what the benefits of going to the 1 piece were so thanks.

since jeff240sx already posted the pros of a 1 piece... i'll post the one con i know of. A lot more vibrations. Or this is what i've heard anyways.

There will only be more vibrations if it is either made wrong or installed wrong. The main reason factories use 2-piece drive shafts is clearance and maybe the angles.

pinion angle to my understanding as well as u-joint angles is a big issue with racecars and such. read car craft several months ago, they had some articals about pinion angles and driveshafts. kandyflip is correct though, unless it is made or installed wrong it shouldn't vibrate. if it is out of balance though even by a bit it will. samet hing with wheels.

Am I the only one thats tried to replace U joints on a 240sx!!! I have looked everywhere for aftermarket U joints, and I can not find them anywhere not even the nissan dealership. The dealership does however sell the entire driveline for $700. I think I'am going to have to by the one piece aluminum driveline from enjuku for $425+ shipping. There has got to be a cheaper way??? ANY IDEAS???

Yeah, go to any driveshaft shop. They can replace the U-joint and balance it.

The main reason factories use 2-piece drive shafts is clearance and maybe the angles.

Also if it exceeds a specific length, it is required in 2 pieces to prevent driveline whip

driveline whip? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this term.
