1997 240sx 5spd

BUMP IT UP IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE

Just testing waters on my s14 before i snap and register this thing... The rundown:
- ~165k on chassis, 105k on '96 ka
- manual tranny, shifts smooth
- recent paintjob, its pretty decent for what it is, car had some damage to the rear qp, but fixed
- leather interior in good shape
- minimal rust for east coast

Car has some aftermarket parts on it:
- HKS exhaust, sounds good
- Injen intake
- D2 adjustable coilovers
- 18" 370z wheels with almost new tires (includes 5 wheels)
- custom front bumper/lip (lip was held with 3 bolts in the pictures, so it looks a little hangy)
- Navan spoiler
- paint matched rear lip (accord)
- LED daylight running lights with turn signal capability
- aftermarket tie rods
- aftermarket stereo (Pioneer headunit/front speakers, Rocksford Fosgate rear speakers/amp)
- breather filter on white valve cover

Some issues with the car:
- key is a little worn, so it takes some wiggle to get it to start
- no a/c (everything is there, but the 96 compressor doesnt like the 97 lines), so just buy a 97 compressor, bolt it up n you're good to go)
- surface rust in the trunk (i will seal the left tail light with silicone before selling to stop the rain from making its way inside, maybe paint the trunk)
- some slight rust on front strut towers (driver side started to separate from the frame, pic below), but it's minuscule and nothing crazy
- throw out bearing needs to be greased or replaced (makes a slight noise when not in gear, tranny shifts perfect into all gears)

- desperately needs sideskirts (trying to find a set locally)

I'm still working on the interior and some misc stuff, but it's ready to be daily driven. I have all black interior pieces, just needs to be swapped. 7k obo.

if u price the car for the price its really worth it would sell in 1 hour i promise. but people trying to get rich on something thats just not worth it..

The book on this car is like 4k in excellent condition. and its got a rusty strut tower, no sideskirt, some other motor, no ac, repaired damage to the 1/4. i offerd him 4k saw the car on craigslist. he says find me a comparable 97 for 4k and ill think about it. The seller is rite though, go and find one cheaper! It will take sometime but its not impossible, just won't be as convenient to find.

sure your 100% right price is according to demand. but when the price is drift taxed out the ass that's another thing. i don't care what u all say its a 15year old car there not worth shit!! if im going to drop 7 8 or 10k for a car its not going to be a 15 year old car. ill go put a down payment on a evo or a rx7 or a car that's brand new and if something happens i get every penny back its not a lost. with the economy the way is it anyone can get a car even with shit credit. use can pick up sweat ass sc300 with a 2jz in it for 8k+ why the hell would i spend 7 or 8k for a kouki? people don't understand that.

i just was in a accident and the car was total lost. i have over 10k into my car they gave me 4k to total it out you think they care about your demand in how this car is sold?

they gave me book on the car and told me to go fuck myself. so im in a spot right now to give them my car that has 10k+ invested into it and take there 4k or cancel my claim and keep my car and get not 1 penny out of it.

i bought my kouki 3 years ago for 5k and its the nicest kouki i have yet to see on this site or Craigslist still 3years later. also it was the LE witch is the top of the line witch u don't ever see anymore that's super super rare!!

i picked it up for 5k white with white leather. i still can link u the for sale tread this is 3years ago when the economy wasn't as bad as it is now.

so how u can tell me 3year later with people being jobless, and no money being spent in the economy and markets crashing and setting new lows???

just remember that these cars are bought by young people like us on this forum. so that means you have to fine the right kid with the money your asking. sure we all are dreamers but being that this forum deals with a younger crowd im sure your limited on your buyers, being that people are all over the world reading this. so not only u have to find someone to pay you 7k they will have to pay for shipping that car to them + taking your word that the car is as clean as u say.. so i think its safe to say you will be stuck selling it with in your area. how many people in your area will spend 7k for a 15yearold rusted out car? i don't no any in my area....

This thread made me lol i don't understand why people are sweating... it says i'm not selling anymore, i had OBO option, and please send me a link to the dealer that has a "mint" kouki for 5500... that shit would be gone in a day.... the way i priced this car is:
5spd 97 - 5500 (not counting custom work done to it)
370z rims - 1300 (5 of them with new tires)
coilovers - 500
problems - (-500)

So you get 6800 out the door.... with lowballers on this board i would definitely be flexible on this price... And for those of you who take time to write out those essays, if you can find so many kouki's for cheap why even bother posting in here? just go buy them... i just dont think it's gonna be as easy as you say
