initial s14

if i was to put 17x 8 front and 17x 9.5 on an s-14.. what proper offset should i find to avoid camber problems on my car? or will a camber kit fix it at anyway?
I would *guess* (since I don't have S14 or those size wheels) you should go with something like:
17*8 +15
17*9.5 +20
with 215/45/17 all 'round.
if you did 215 front and 235 rear, maybe
+15 F
+30 R
Those are just some ballpark figures for you to start working from

That's quite a stretch...

Why would you recommend a higher offset to fit a wider tire?
Not that there's even a remote chance of rubbing, but that just seems odd to me.
I have 9.5 +30 with a 235/40/17, it is slightly stretched, there is no bulge, and it's damn flush... on my S13.
Haha yes, it's a bit of a stretch, but I think as a rule, 90% of the kids out there wanting to put fat tires out back don't need it there. xp
Wow, so my estimate for +30 out back was right!! woo hoo.
I suggested higher so that he doesn't rub his fenders. little to no chance he'll be rubbing rear coilovers, so it'd be ok for him to go higher offset since I don't think most people want to deal with fender rolling.

Rolling the rear fenders = cake.
Well, rolling the front fenders is only slighty more difficult, maybe the equivilant of pie or rice krispy treats...

what do you think of 17*9 +35 with a 255-40 17 tire on it for the rear of a s13?

Too wide of a tire imo

I have on the front right now 18x9 +38 on the front with 235/40/18 and 18x9.5 +35 on the rear running 245/40/18. I know they are shitty offsets but i have no probelms at all with rubbing and my car is dropped at least 2-2.5 inches.

PS i have an S14 though, so it might be a little different. but i think you can fit a 9" width no problem

well i got gtp fiber glass wide fenders for the back, my pass rear quarter is dented so i planed on cutting the metal fenders up about 2" to give me some extra room
