Hey, guy. I'm in the middle of choosing my new engine. I just got my self a 90Fastback for $150 straight no rust clean int, Blown SOHC KA.
price for a use Sohc here is $850 for just the engine.
So i'm like hmm pay a little more for SR, CA, or RB. ( leaning toward RB20DET Venus have it for $1200 right now and it a bolt on )
but if u r in my situation. what will u do what will u put in the car.
I also have FC TII with streetport RE, and i don't want the 240 2b slower
so opinion from ppl with engines experience please. TIA C

You can get a rb20 for 1200? Personally i am going to go KA-T. You could consider buying a DOHC ka and turboing it.

from what i've heard.... good luck with that venus motor. and it will cost you a whole lot more than $1200 to do an RB swap btw ;)

Venus are aites...well if u pick it up locally at least. As for the RB20 swap...go to 240sxforums.com and look up DLSracing (stubby) He has a RB20 in his hatch and hed be more than happy to help you out with anything if you want it and hes from ATL.

any engine is fine. Just build it and turn up the boost.

make sure YOU are at venus in person to pick up YOUR motor......I've seen the motors they sell walk in's and the motors they will ship out to anyone....BIG DIFFERENCE.

I wouldn't do any type of turbo setup if i were on a small budget.....what about the little things that come up that you hadn't planned for?
