Wow, this is nice... :D
I think I might try to pick this up once I get rid of my '89 Celica... haha
Do you have the receipts or some sort of proof that the first owner rebuilt the engine?
GLWS in the meantime. (well... not really. I want to buy it. :P lol)

There were a limited number made in awd and they were used for group B rally. You could not purchase the car as a consumer though. They are extremely rare and were only available in Japan.

OP, you have a very clean car, if you were east coast I'd have this in my possession no questions asked. It's hard to find a clean car, let alone one with the airdam intact. I love the 88-89 seats too, super supportive with adjustable lumbar and lateral bolsters.
Can you send me some good pictures of the underneath of the car, rear interior, hatch area. Also like pictures of the spoiler area and rear fenders as those are the most prone areas to rust, although this is a Ca car so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. How are the rails under the car, they aren't crushed are they? Hell shoot me some pictures of the underside of the car while you're at it.
Thanks for the bumps fellas!

I actually don't as the 2nd owner had lost them. I've driven one with the original engine and by comparison I can feel the strength of a rebuilt one. This car PULLS.
My cell is at the bottom, if ever you're ready to buy :)

I guess jr_ss answered this question, I was curious about that too. So sad they never mass produced it like they did with the Eclipse.

You're very right about the seats, the interior overall in the later models just feels more right. There is no rust under the car from what I remember, lifted her up a few months back. I can send you some when I do get around to it. Are you interested?

I am interested to an extent. I had an 86' with an MPI conversion, an 88' and an 86' Technica flatty. This isnt an SHP car that I can remember. I think they were only offered in the black, red, blue, and yellow colors. We can discuss price through pm. You can email me the pictures of everything at

starquest bump. People....do your research- this car is nostalgic! I'm sad that I've let go of my 3 starions i've had in my lifetime. It was my first car in high school too. I also know Tony Waldrop who was the starion go to guy in SD back in the day, and I still keep in touch with Kelly in person still (KDM)
Lots of potential! (not my car)

Free bump for one of the cleanest Starions I've ever seen.
Thanks for all the bumps guys, someone pick this up! I'm getting a lot of offers but no one's biting the bait.
I have owned a 944 Turbo, and S5 FC, I would say all three cars share a lot of similarities. Personally though I would pick the 944 over all three, haha. No pics of the FC, here's the 944:

I'm sorry, I've been very busy with work. I will try to get pictures of the bottom of the car on Wed, my day off. But go ahead and shoot me a PM with any further questions or concerns. :)
Anyone want to trade this Starion for a clean, smog exempt old school wagon?
Hit me up! Tell your friends! It's also 3500 OBO!

I almost want to trade you my 72 Z with SBC 355/T5. I have always always always wanted one of these. Very 80's man. Whats the aftermarket support like for these?

I wish you had a 510!
The aftermarket support on Starions aren't anywhere near as vast as 240s, but the companies and shops that do make parts for them usually carry or make quality goods since they aren't knockoffs but in house made. With proper R/D from what I've seen.
Anyway, BUMP!
I WILL LET THIS GO FOR $2600 WITH CASH IN HAND!!!
I just need her gone, I am looking towards buying a daily driver.
