I listen to e-40 but I don't worship him or anything. His lyrics are alright but it's nice to see someone representing the Bay though. The only mc's that I really like is Nas and Andre Nickatina. The rest are pretty much mainstream weak sh*t.

Never been a fan of E-40... I live in NC and I get more into the Mos Def/Talib Kweli-type of hip hop. I could never get into E-40 when I listen to West Coast rap, I used to listen to the Luniz when they were together, but can't stomach them separately. To say, however, that E-40 is bringing the west back is a misconception, that dude is a LEGEND in the area and has not fallen off. The fact is that his concept and sometimes annoying slang has not caught on outside of that area and it is fully possible that it won't not that it would bother me if it did...

hes okay.. i have nothing against the guy, he's got a unique style.. some like him, some dont. i enjoy hearing him popup in other people's raps.. him and killer mike have pretty similar styles if you ask me. but, i cant really handle either of those rappers alone.. they're just too funky/crazy. i used to listen to a lot of too short.. ah yes, the good ol days.. rappin 4'tay.. all that good stuff.

now i prefer listening to my massive tupac collection, dj quik, and lots and lots of mos def and talib.. common too.
