what's up every one?? I just did a KA swap not to long ago.
and flush all the old fluid out. I've just having this problem. When I first start the car and the gear is in neutral there's a buzzing noise coming from the transmission. But when I press on the clutch pedal the buzzing noise goes away.... and some time when the car is in gear there will be a a buzzing sound from it sometime. I've no clue what the heck it is. Does the new gear oil have to do any thing with this buzzing noise??? What are the possibility that might cause this problem.????
TIA :wiggle: :wiggle:

what kind of transmission fluid are you using? We have put redline in our 300zx and noticed a similar noise and goes away after the clutch is enganged and the noise lessens when car warms up.

i have the same problem and i think it may be my throwout bearing.

hey guys... i just took my car in for that same thing.. they thought it was my throwout bearing too but when they took it apart and manually spun it, it was fine... sooo i got a new tranny put on instead.

If you press the clutch in and it goes away, it's probably the throwout bearing. Mine is new but makes a small sound as well, so it's not a big deal. My Z31, on the other hand, made a terrible sound when I let the clutch out and sure enough, the throwout bearing was in pretty crappy condition.

but i just change my clutch and the throwout bearing...
should the new one go out this fast??? it's not even 600miles

Yes, i don't think it something to worry about either as our 300zx has not had any problems and we get that similiar noise and its not getting any worse. Our zxtt has only 15k on it too and its been making noise since 8900 when we changed the trans fluid.

I just changed the clutch on my KA with a SPEC one 600 miles ago and I can hear a fast "knock-knock-knock" type sound when my clutch is out in neutral. Goes away when the pedal is in too. My mechanic said it's just the TO bearing knocking on the pressure plate because the new plate is new and a bit stiffer but that it should get a bit quieter eventually the more the clutch is used.

I dunno, I used to worry about it alot but lately I've just been turning the radio on and ignoring it. :)

i don't think it's the throw out bearing.
It's brand new.

wait. .
Aren't throwout bearings only used when the clutch is dissengaged (pedal pressed)? Thus, it would be quiet with the pedal up, and click again with the pedal down.

Throw out Bearings...also SPEC is known to have a chattery TOB.
