No special bit needed. But before you start drilling take some masking tape and cover the area of where u are going to drill first. That way when your done drilling the CF strands won't be all over the place.

I used a uni-bit and masking tape it worked great. make sure to drill a small hole first.

When working on CF, be sure to ware a face mask or something to cover your nose and mouth. You DONT want any of that stuff getting in your lungs. Carbonfiber can be hazardous to your health if inhaled.

Another quick tip, if it's a double layer hood, make sure your very careful not to punch through the second layer until you've finished smoothing out the first holes. The two layer holes don't always line up perfectly from the start. Another thing don't worry about the holes being a little off at first, use a dremel and widen the edges little by little with the smallest sanding wheel you have, checking the fitment gradually. If one side is larger than the other don't worry the hood pin tops will cover the holes up anyways.

Good luck, and remember the key to not f*cking up your hood is PATIENCE!!

Have fun!!
