Anyone interested in these seats? I have someone who says getting them isn't a problem, just didn't know if they were popular enough to bring over.
They do bolt(3 of 4) to stock 240 floor pan. Last bolt is close and can be modded to fit, or not.
They are very supportive.

I am just trying to get an interest generated so I can tell him how many would be sold if he brings some over.

Thanks for your help.

Need pics to gauge interest. Need price to see if people will really buy it or if they will say "HEY I WANT THAT" then you get it and want $1,600 for it and wonder why nobodys buying them. Also need more information. The RpS13 needs short seats, ones that are not very tall....How tall are these seats? Any instances of them in an S13 ? S14 ?

I'm definately interested depending on the price. They *must* be GTR seats, not normal R32 seats.

"Seats
Here's a little detail: how to find a seat that doesn't smell. If you think we've been basking in the aroma of a 277,000-mile driver's seat all this time, you're not as smart as we thought. Not only were they odiferous, the factory S13 seats are so poorly shaped, we would have been flung out the window on our 1.0-g skidpad test if we still had them. In reality, we solved the seat problem way back in part 1 of this project (November, '02) but had so much other stuff to tell you about, we never actually mentioned it.

Finding seats for an S13 is far from trivial. Not only is headroom severely limited, but the floor is an awkward shape, with a massive hump under the driver's right knee making seat mounting particularly difficult. Most aftermarket seats are so thick once sliders and an adaptor bracket have been installed, that unless your friends call you stumpy, you won't be able to fit in the car.
The R32 and R34 Skyline GT-R had the same issues and mostly the same floorpan. If you're extremely lucky and happen to find a GT-R owner dim enough to sell you his seats, buy them. Three of their four mounting points line up, and the fourth can be made to work fairly easily. The GT-R seats are better than nearly anything you'll find in the aftermarket, and since the donor car was right-hand drive, you'll get to sit in the seldom used, and less worn, passenger's seat.

Barring that stroke of luck (we scoured two countries for a year and a half before we lucked into a single R32 seat at Spriso Motorsports) you'll need something aftermarket. Luckily for us, the solution was right there at our suspension shop. JIC USA happens to offer a seat with a very slim bottom section, and mates it to a cleverly designed bracket and rails that put it right on the floor. The adaptor bracket itself is only about a quarter-inch thick, with a countersunk mounting bolt used over the offending floor hump to save a few millimeters of clearance. Even this wouldn't be enough, but JIC pushed the right-hand seat rail over to the middle of the seat, avoiding the floor hump altogether. This puts the two rails very close together, which allows the seat to rock back and forth a fair amount if you grab the back rest and shake it. This lends an air of cheapness to the car much like, oh, a Z-06 Corvette. Yeah, floppy seat backs don't really ruin that car's reputation, either.

The JIC reclining racing seats are generously bolstered and have an adjustable backrest, but don't flip forward for backseat access. Even when you crank the seat forward manually, there's limited rear-seat clearance, since the massive side bolsters collide before the seat is very far forward. What is this, a taxi? Who cares about the backseat?

The JIC seats will fit you best if you have the classic broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted physique of a superhero, or perhaps the barrel chest and atrophied legs of a barfly. If you sport a twiggy backside, you'll find the side bolsters a little far away. If, on the other hand, you're packing more than 32 inches of waistline, you may find the nougens a little restricted by the bottom bolsters. It's an odd shape for a Japanese seat, considering there are no Asian members of the Justice League, but it ends up working perfectly well. The seats have provided ache-free comfort for several 1,500-mile road trips, as well as sufficient support and (barely) sufficient helmet clearance for more than a few giant-killing track days.

Headroom is nearly identical to the Skyline or stock seat."

---------------------------------------

that should answer any questions about the seats, look and fitment. these seats fit, no height issues (there is a picture of them in the link). the only problem is, the seller said R32, but he didn't mention what model, if they aren't from the GT-R then it's worthless. id be in on this if they are GT-R seats, and if he wasn't offering too much on the price. also, decide whether you are going to import both seats (left and right) because if you import both and sell to people who only want driver's side, then you are left with a lot of worthless merchandise. but from what ive seen, these seats go for about $400, there is a related threads link at the bottom of this page of a november GTR seat sale.

Thanks for the response. 10 people interested in 10 hours is a pretty good response. I am talking with him today and hopefully he will have either prices or a time frame to get prices.
Thanks for the additional info about R32 GT-R, I will make sure.
Will reply as soon as I have more info. Keep an eye out.

i had a pair of r32 GTS-t seats, stay away from them like the plague. the drivers side one has a large recline angle that can't be adjusted, so you're sitting like a honda cruiser. worthless for hard driving.

OK. I've got. They are used seats, usually from a wrecked R32 sitting in a junk yard. I only want to get non ripped seats and no sagging material, of course. They are going to be dirty of course, but I will be putting my own elbow grease to clean each seat before it goes out to the end user. That being said, they will probably still be some darkness on the seats, not bright brand new looking. I am putting one in my car, so I want them all to look good enough to go into my car.
These are R32 GT-R seats. I am checking on R34, maybe by late mourning.*Here's the kicker, I need to have a final count(no money, but you need to come through if you say you will get them) by Friday afternoon. All request have to be here on the forum so no one tries to get a better seat than others. Also, I need to know if you want a pair or a single. Price as follows:
Single-$350
pair-$750
This is not shipped. I prefer local pick up in Long Beach, Ca. but will mail(If I can find boxes big enough to ship). I do not know shipping prices because I don't know size of box, weight, or where you live.
I am still finding out exactly how many I can get, sorry, first posters get first dibs. Maybe 10 or so seats(some pairs).
I will post more as I find out.
Thanks

Also, most importantly, all orders by friday, because the shipping container leaves Japan within a few days of friday. They are scheduled here in 2-3 weeks(depending on the usual: customs, weather, acts of God), then they need to be thoroughly cleaned by my wonderful and beautiful girlfriend "Tasha" before going out to end user(I haven't quite ironed out that detail with her yet, but someone will clean them).

If you can find some seats(in decent condition) in Japan, have someone drive them(from another city) over to a container(find someone who has a container coming to Long Beach) before the container is closed and shipped to the U.S., recieved and payed for in advance, cleaned and able to post onto a forum for you guys(and girls?) for a better price(not as much profit as you think) let me know, I'll buy one.
Just trying to offer a service for others while getting myself one at a good price.

NO MONEY is needed by friday! Please understand, this is a number needed(By friday) so I will know how many seats need to be put on the container. I think more will want seats then we can get put in the container, that is why I need to know who wants what as soon as possible. First come first serve.
I am assuming everyone who posts a want for these seats will come through. That is why I am using a public forum instead of private emails. The money will be needed either when you pick them up or before they are mailed out(if needed)-They are cheap to mail! Especially pairs. Please keep that in mind.

In other words, single seats are much easier to find and ship! The money saving feature with these seats are they don't need exspensive seat brackets. They bolt right into the 240. Aftermarket seats all need seat brackets that cost more money on top of the cost of the seat. Even used, unless it came from a 240 and is being sold with the used seat. Even then, there is a heigth problem for tall guys like myself.

average price for a set of GTR seats here in socal is $500, for $750 I would be able to get Corbeu's and purchase Bride rails for them. Brand new seats vs used for the same price? I would take the brand new. If you seriously want a lot of us to get seats you need to offer some kind of deal. $750 is definitely not a deal. The only thing your doing for these guys is finding them a set of seats at a premium price. If they want to pay, more power to you , but I am out unless your price comes down out of the stratosphere.

I'm not getting super sweet deals, so for the people that are complaining, don't get one! If everyone can get all these great deals, where are they! How come I am the only one offering them. Not to knock on you, but the way people see is that if you do bulk orders or large order in a container, there is bound to be some type of savings somewhere and hopefully passed on to the buyers, then again you did say you're just happen to get some seats just for yourself and you're not getting a deal from the source from japan and the current exchange is against your favor right now...

but there is a demand for the seats (or if you can get s15 seats as well), it's just that people are not willing to pay premium prices since we all know 240sx owners are cheap :) lol, okay maybe just me..

I would say yes to the post but saw your prices and decided on no.

Im interested as well, i dont want to give you a "confirmed" notice though. That way im not griped at for possibly not coming through, a few things need to be said though.
1. I would like the US Driver side
2. I live in TX so It would need to be shipped.
3. FOR SALE OR TRADE! 1 BRAND NEW Bride Brix I seat. black on black, with a 240 slider. this thing has never been used, still brand new, i paid too much for it (1400 +shipping) so if anyone would like to trade or buy my seat (im thinking somewhere around $1200 + 1/2 shipping) then i can definately do this.

PLEASE let me know if anyone is interested. I will sell it or trade it for 240 parts (especially suspension) AGX shocks or Z32 30mm calipers would be awesome!

thanks guys and let me know

dude I was far from complaining . In fact there is nothing to complain about . I was trying to help you out by telling you your ass is being taken to the cleaners for those seats. You want to know where the $500 dollar sets of R32 GTR seats are ? In several socal 240 owners cars . Why because when they come up they sell. Its not even a question of wanting stuff for free or greatly reduced. Its a question of market value , which seems to be lost on you. Like I said in my post if you can get people to pay that price more power to you. Its like a previous post said though. When someone offers a quanity purchase i.e. a group buy type situation it usually means a better deal than top dollar. Your paying top dollar through the nose. No problem if you think thats worth it . Though like I said in my post a pair of used seats at that price is just not worth it in my eyes thats me. Oh ya and if you think I am someone who expects everything for free you need schooling. :werd:

yea i know that GTR seats werent "US" spec i was just using that to clarify that i wanted a 'JDM passenger' or 'USDM driver' side. Anyway, ive been doing research and found some better deals, so depending on the condition of yours and your quantity (and reading some previous posts) i will pay 350 shipped (for a less than great one) or 400 shipped for a nice one. let me know, thanks.

p.s. shipping on a seat from cali to TX is less than 70 bucks with the box and packing materials, ive done it (thats how i got my bride) so really you could box it up with newspaper and your own box and ship it for 50 bucks ground, make a cool 350 and call it a day.....
