Holy crap you're seriously asking this question? I could answer it in two seconds but I choose not to. You need to search. Not even this site necessarily. Search how a catch can functions in general. Yikes...
On the next episode of "Herp De Diddily Derp", we learn how to install NGK spark plugs.

Go on youtube man. It's pretty straight forward. Just take the vacuum line off your pcv valve and put your inlet line to the catch can there. Then put the other hose from the outlet of the catch can to the line that goes to the intake manifold where the pcv use to directly route to and just find a nice place to mount the catch can. Youtube/google woulda told you that :)

It's not necessary but regardless of N/A or turbo it still helps keep oil from getting back into your intake manifold.
Its cool to add useless shiny shit to your engine bay!
Hey guys look at my new shiny catch can! Its a BALLER Greddy one so I'm JDM tyte yo! I know this will look great when I'm "HARD PARKING" with my hood open at the local cool kid spot. Goes well with my cool TRENDY stickers that I spent $8 a pop for.

if you have that much fucking blow by on a NA engine...you need another engine, not a fucking catch can!!!

But an oil catch can is only $60-$100 bucks as opposed to a $700 new engine and some n/a engines will blow by a lot. Yeah, we're talking about low displacement 4 bangers but for how old they are they will get a good amount of oil up there. I mean I hate ricers as much as the next guy but this isn't a 3ft tall spoiler sticking out of his trunk lid we're talking about here. Dude's just trying to take care of his car. You can't knock him for that.
^^^
The KA24DE is not a "low displacement 4 cylinder" 2.4L is actually quite large for a 4 cylinder motor. You want to talk about LOW displacement that would be a 1.6L and smaller.
Take care of his car? If he wants to take care of his car, flush all the old fluids out then add new fluids of your choice, basic regular maintenance stuff to ensure that the motor is running well for the age and amount of miles it has. Buying a SHINY Greddy Oil catch can and installing it is not what I consider taking care of his car. As I stated previously its an excuse to add a SHINY new useless item in his engine bay so he can see it every time he pops the hood and smile cause its a brand name part eventho it doesn't do shit for him.

Your "low" and my "low" are two different things lol 2.4 isn't a lot man. For a 4 cylinder yes it's with the larger sizes but you misunderstood me. I'm saying it's a 4 cylinder engine unlike the v6/v8 from chevy which commonly get oil into their intakes and are often fitted with an oil catch can. I like em and they get the job done but let's be honest it isn't a lot. And yeah he can maintain the fluid and yeah he's probably buying it for the looks but what's up with all the hate? It's a pretty pointless thread, but it's his car. He's free to do whatever he wants to do with it. I mean I'm anal at certain things like that too. I'd put an oil catch can in my car just so I know the intake is staying clean at all times. I don't know if the OP is doing it for that or for just the looks but regardless it can only do good for the motor it's not like it's going to make that shit explode.

Oil catch is not gonna save him shit if he got a bad engine.

Well I'm just quoting your words, you said low displacement 4 banger. I just wanted you to know that 2.4L is not low for a 4banger. If your referring to GENERAL sizes of motors like 6 cylinder engines and up then yes 2.4L is small in the grand scheme of things. I probably read your post wrong and interpreted it wrong.
Yes its his car, he can do whatever he wants. No hate here, just stating the obvious as well as my opinion. It is the internet, you ask dumb questions, be prepared to get negative comments and feedback. He doesn't have to listen or agree what I have to say, but as it would seem I am not the only one here that feels this way about this topic.

True, but excessive blow by(depending on how much)doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad motor. It doesn't mean it's harmful to the engine either. But it'll help keep his intake clean.

Yeah sorry about that I should of been more specific but I was in the movie theater on my phone LOL
Anyways, yeah I can see why he's getting flamed because of the thread. But then people started getting offended cause he bought an oil catch can for his ka24. That's just a little ridiculous to me. I mean I would do it too if I wanted to make sure my car is running in top shape. I don't see why it's such a bad thing.
But whatever :hs:

One hose goes to the valve cover. One goes to the intake nipple. It was answered ages ago and a million times. Why you are still here asking rather than searching makes my mind want to explode. Like, literally, type in "oil catch can install." It's not even application specific. It will tell you where to hook it up on any car.
Sometimes I wish I was a mod...

lol ^^
I remember one day my friend telling me that after a race, he pours the oil back into his engine (1khp rb26) :whip:
that catch can fills the whole fender. Literally a couple of quarts.
