I'm in the market for a good intake for my KA, what would be the best way to go? I know that AEM and Injen makes them for the KA but i need opinion from people who has any of these setup. Also do any of you guys run into problems regarding water getting into the system at all? and how much did you pay for it..

honestly the difference between a aem or injen intake isn't going to be noticeable... an iintake is going to be barely noticeable besides the sound anyway. It's all about breathing mods working together, like intake, header, exhaust etc. Get whatever comes cheaper (but do not get cheap ebay/no name brand intakes) and use whatever saved towards other stuff.

What I was thinking.
And BTW I have an eBay intake with a replaced filter, and the "butt dyno" definitely registers more power:)

The CAE is better for top end HP, and the short RAM is better for low end torque. You don't loose really any low end torque with the CAE you just have faster throttle response from the short RAM.
In my opinion, (i have Injen CAI) the name brands like Injen are more expensive and more popular for the obvious reason, they're better than the "other CAI". Ebay stuff is definitely deceiving, sure it's 40 bucks, but YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. For example, I have a friend with a 99 LX Civic and he just wanted a little more pulling power for driving up the mountains, so I got him an Ebay CAI. Sure it works, pretty much like the other intakes, has a cool growl a WOT, simple silver paint, clean. But no instructions, extra parts that you don't use maybe they have a use but you don't have instructions to tell you what they're for, not enough of the peices you know you need like hose clamps(had to buy an extra one at Kragen for 3 bucks), and cheap two piece filter that will come apart if my 6 month old niece plays with it for 5 minutes.
So basically, if you're only wanting to spend 60 bucks and have the growl and say your car is "modified" then go with eBay. If your wanting to put some good stuff on your car that has stickers and badges on it so people see you put thinking and care into your car then go with Injen or Apexi, etc.
All in all they will really get you the same power results.
Also get the water bypass valve if you live in rainy areas with bad drainage, big puddles=flooded engines and soaked spark plugs - not good.
I never noticed a problem with my stock Injen filter getting clogged or soaked, but I've since replaced it with a cheap OBX filter, and when it rains the filter wails when it gets wet enough eventually sputtering the engine if I leave the CAE on in heavy rain. I have to take the CAE off some weeks because I don't want to have to worry about it.
Good luck making a decision!

name yur price! Its only the main piece tho haha. so, u gotta get yur own couplings, hoses, filter, clamps etc. ( but ill try to find some of those pieces haha) either way, if you buy all those things from an auto shop itll still be cheaper than the normal price of $200
