Just wondering if anyone on here is from Ensenada (or T.J.), or maybe you Diego guys jump the border for fun/party time???
I’m planning a trip with my girl. I haven’t been there in over a decade.
I was wondering what’s new, interesting places or what requirements I need.
Last time I was there, I crossed the border with my English only, no birth cert or passport needed. I have no passport yet and want to visit before summer ends.
Also, what’s allowed back to the US, alcohol maybe seafood?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IIRC, you will need a passport now to have no issues. If you only have a State/Driver's License, you can go through "secondary." I haven't gone myself but I plan on getting a passport before I do anything international.

You can cross with no issues as long as you have a valid ID and certified copy of birth certificate or original certificate.

No fruits are allowed, poultry, etc. Alcohol is good to bring back, but you may have to pay taxes on it if they are being dicks. Just declare it to be safe. Im about to go to San Felipe this weekend with my wife, i was going to go to Ensenada but wanted to make it somewhat roadtrip~ish. Have fun dude and be careful.

I would imagine the optional pay toll is still a nicer rd than the "libre" rd.
I keep getting mix answers on the passport.
I have never been to San Felipe. I would really want to go to cabo though.
Thanks for your comments and I wish u a safe and fun trip too.

My mom lives in TJ and I go at least twice a month, birth certificate and ID work everytime.

The cuota is a cruise highway, so much nicer and less congested than libre.

My family is from there and we go alot. We used to cross with just I.D and birth certificate but now we have our electronic passport cards that you can get at the post office. Takes no time for them to check! As for the road, take the toll road its much better than the libre road haha and you wont get lost.

Yea. I used my BC and ID last time. They just ask me "whats your citizenship" I always say "U.S." and they let me walk in. I guess I sound american. Now if you look like a beaner....thats a different story. expect to go into secondary...lmao

LMFAOOOOO!!!
That's not cool man. My wife is light skin, green eyes. I'm brown as fk.
Our 3 yr daughter is lighter than her with grey/bluish eyes.
Everytime my daughter & I go out alone, and she starts crying for something. People start looking at me "funny". Freaking awkward!

Can anyone confirm how much beer I can bring back?

you can bring back as much beer as youd like. i used to go grocery shopping down there. bringing back couple hundered bucks in food , never got harrassed. once brought back a truck full of beer and liquor. no issues. and they searched it. as long as you dont act like a fucking idiot youll be fine crossing the boder.
