Talk here anything Olympics related, swimming, basketball, track and field, favorite country, favorite event, how so many of the athletes are tested positive for doping, pics of your favorite athlete(s), etc.

NBC selectively editing the opener once again. Looks like the rest of the games will be only what they deem worthy. Rest of the sports you can watch on the 56k streaming.

Japan was just out hustling Spain in the game. I saw the Japanese players sprinting after the ball on every possession. Although my roommate told me that Spain wasnt allowed to play their first team..I mean if they did..no other country would stand a chance..

Yeah, they know people are pissed off at what they are showing on TV. So their solution is to be vague on what's going to be on TV. If you got a problem with that, watch the raw feed online.

Online streaming buffer overflows till it maxes out your CPU or ram. The Phone/Tablet quality is much better now but the ads are ridiculous. You think they would have learned from last time.

well, i read an article yesterday about women's fencing competition in the olympics about how there was a controversial call in a match against a german woman and south korean woman. apparently the south korean lost over some questionable judging, cried for a bit, and stood there for like an hour in protest before being physically escorted away. i think the crowd kind of felt it was a questionable call too.

she was awarded some kind of special medal by the fencing board and they apologized that their equipment was able to be used accurately in judging the competition saying something about how their equipment could only read a few tenths of a seconds when it should be able to read at a few hundreds of second (or something along those lines).

If you watched the US women's water polo match yesterday you would...

They rolled B roll to show what suit pulling looked like. I was like did I just see titty? Then I thought to myself "it was b roll they would have reviewed that"

More scandals! But because it's the London Olympics, the guy gets a pass for being British?

IOC clears British cyclist Philip Hindes of deliberate crash (http://msn.foxsports.com/olympics/cycling/story/ioc-international-olympic-committee-clears-british-cyclist-philip-hindes-of-deliberate-crash-080312)

The 19-year-old wobbled starting the three-lap race against France and fell at the first bend. The British trio, including Chris Hoy, won the restarted race.

''I just crashed, I did it on purpose to get a restart, just to have the fastest ride. I did it. So it was all planned, really,'' Hindes reportedly said immediately after the race. He modified his comments at the official news conference to say he lost control of his bike.

I'm legitimately pumped with the big win today!

I'm not hyped however for the pairing of Team USA (the world's number one women's team).

Also I'm soaking up all those salty Brazilian tears since from their last lost match!

They then had the nerve to state that there's was a conspiracy plot to make their bus late (and that was the reason they were tired?!)

Please...

Brazil wants a good showing to roll into the next games.

The badminton scandal is interesting because that game moves so fast it's hard to notice a thrown game.

That boxing match with the Turkmenistan referee was brutal.

anyone else catch the Canada/USA soccer game today? best game i think i have ever seen canada play. gave USA a legitimate run for their money. however, it is unfortunate that the ref's inability to make logical or consistent calls pretty much ruined a perfect game.

some nice goals were scored by both sides. now, Canada just has to deal with France to win bronze. USA gets Japan for the gold medal game.

I'm not trying to say the Canadian women's team is better, but if it wasn't for that stupid *SNIP* of a ref we would have won today. She made so many bad calls (both ways).
