What did boost feel like the first time...

Well I am just wondering what was everybody experienced the first time they drove there 240 or any other car with boost? I mean I know it feels fun riding in somebodies else's car with boost, but I know it must been even better driving.

It didnt seem any more powerful than my stock 240...but that could be cause I was driving a stock WRX. Otherwise I will have to let u know when I get my KAT done. My buddy with the Stealth Rtt/HSX wont let me test drive it...bastard!! :rl:

The only boosted car I've driven was test driving a Thunderbird Supercoupe....wasn't as fast as my moms Maxima,and I was more focused on trying to work that damned hydraulic(sp) clutch !

I've ridden in a lot of forced induction cars, but the first one I DROVE was my 240 when I first got it (after I fixed the powersteering that fell out of the car.... don't ask).

2 second impression: FEAR
*I give it some gas... at 2700 the turbo is full on, I get pressed into the seat... it startles me and I lift off the gas quickly*
dear god, was it supposed to jump like that?

2 seconds after that: WOW!
*gun it a few times in straight lines in my empty lot testing area*
Damn, it really has power on demand...

1 minute impression: Perma-Grin
*full throttle around a corner until I spin and end up facing straight again*

(i'm unable to form complete sentences for a minute or 2, my friend has left claw marks in the passenger side arm-rest... he's making similar snickering noises)

I was driving my car back from Roanoke, VA after the swap was done and I wanted so bad to keep the revs down and baby the engine all the way home...yeah right!

I hit it for the first time all I could say was HOLLY SHIT! I kept shifting every time I hit boost just because I thought I was going way too fast.
Then I thought "I should go faster...that sounds like fun" Everytime the boost would hit it threw me in the seat and made my chest hurt. Not it was that fast, it was just the fastest car I have ever driven.

First b00st I ever experienced was my buddy's '94 camaro. At the time, I was driving a 12 second '67 camaro. We had raced when he had heads/cam done and were dead even. About 1 month after that, he went s-trim and built bottom-end. Dyno'd 504rwhp.

It was the scariest thing I ever experienced. It was also the loudest. Fun though.

the first time i got my swap i forgot to put on the vaccum line to the wastegate....lol then in my test drive parking lot i floored it.... looked at the boost gauge and WOW i hit 22psi... i was like "holy shit" my chest sinking into my seat and having the biggest head rush while driveing my car and breathing heavy... it was like an orgasm lol.. but yea that was my first encounter with boost in my car

I have yet to experience boost first hand but im waiting on a 95 body w/ an sr20det, but i ahve had my share of experience with riding with boost.

My best friend has an EVO VIII, his sister has a TT Supra, my sister has a beast GS-T, another friend has a crazy new WRX, another of my friend has a 240 blacktop, and as much as i dont want to say it but one of the badest turbo cars i have ever been in was a 93 civic w/ a gsr swap. All and all i have riden in some badass cars but none of them compare to my dads 11 sec. Z06. Its fun beeing surrounded by tight cars.

Let's just say it had such a profound effect on me that I changed my mind from wanting a N/A KA to ANY turbo engine... I had a smile on my face for DAYS after that...

I let her rip with my dad in the passenger seat, only 2.0 psi worth but we were convinced. We NEED to retune the car for more. :)

I cant remeber it was so long ago........but I would say I feel that feeling everytime I drive my car......Its a feeling of no words......If you could describe it, it wasnt good enough......Its like your first love........Its like the first time you saw a naked woman and its like your first blow-job.....(sorry for the nastiness but it reminds me of sex) If I could ever say anything about a fully built GTiR SR20 (FWD) in my boys classic SER I would say "HOLY-FUCKIN-SHIT".............Its just a feeling of no other.....It got my mom wanting to borrow my car on the weekends.......And she live 4 hours away from me......It had my dad talking Nissan to all his Hot-rod buddies for weeks and it forced all my friends to buy a boosted car......If there ever was a feeling known as the ultimate addrenaline rush, boost would be it.......I cant say enough about the raw power I saw in my boys built twin TD06G (I think) Z32, you think its heavy? I think its about to grow wings and take off......I love boost........

The fastest boosted car I have rode in is my friends 96 r33 GT-R. Car dynoed at just over 500awhp with boost cut at 1.1 bar(this is set very very low). The car is just amazing, pinned to your set at full throttle all you can think is "HOLY SHIT.....GO FASTER" Your whole body gets this surreal feeling....its awesome. Plus all this is compounded by the fact that your sitting on the "wrong" side of the car. Its just full joyous boost until the shrill sound of the bov cuts through the night air, then the fun starts all again in the next gear.

the first time i took the s14 out with the turbo on i was at 4psi and thought that was good enough for me. boy was i stupid back then....

First Time I drove a Car with boost was a 1989 S13 with a T3/T4 turbo at 12 psi.

I'll just say that when the engine felt the Boost and the torque dragged the car off the line, I was left with a smile that just wouldn't end.

Turbo, once you get it in your car you can't imagine what it was like driving without it.

well i havnt got to drive my sr, but when i rev it its like wonderful, i feel it surgining through me, but i have driven a 1985 saab turbo and that little bastard had a busted str8 drive in it, but man it was sweet, the turbine would kick in and i would bang the gear(thats the only way it would work0 and all hell broke loose...i loved it

85 Z31 Turbo I bought after my first S13. I remember the drive home from picking it up.. Pressing on the gas, the nose of the car rising because of the stock crappy suspension, the sound of my little T3 (which I am now convinced was on its way out because it was 5x louder than all stock Z31's I've driven), the unfamiliar acceleration curve and the scary sounds at 5k RPM. That thing was fast for the number of mods I put on it.. [email protected] bar/3" turboback/filter/ACT clutch was good for mid-low 13's. For a 3400lb 80's car, it wasn't bad at all.

I still like my current S13 better, though.

The Imark was a 4 cyl, 1.5 liter dohc with 145 horsepower. I dont doubt for a second that that car would have kept up to the 240 beterrn a set of lights.

i had a girl faint on me when i took her from a ride, standing stop to prolly somewhere around 145 mph... she asked for it tho , said her bfs honda was faster than anything, when she woke up she sobbed for a minute hit me and said that my car is definintly faster..... sorry

First boosted car I drove was a 300zx tt @ 16lbs with 2 t4's...SICK :)
I was grinning ear to ear, but it was scarry too...intimidating, I'm used to a stock 240.

FYI, I scared the owner of that 300zx while driving my stock 240, tehehe...
