View Full Version : Would these wheels fit right on my S13?

I'm interested in getting set of used Heros Racing mesh wheels. They are 15 x 6.5 with +16 offset, and 4 x 114.3, of course. With this offset, would they fit right on my S13 240SX, or would they stick out too far?
Also, is it possible that these could clear z brakes? It's not really important right now, as I just need a new set of wheels, and I won't be upgrading the brakes for a little while, but I'm curious. Thanks in advance guys.

They'll fit easily but they won't be clearing z-brakes.

It's the spoke style that matters with the Z brakes, not the offset. You mentioned they were meshies so they probably wouldn't clear. Other than that, I don't see any problem with them fitting on an S13.

does it matter about spoke style? I've seen bbs meshies that fit fine with z brakes.

I run SSR DORI DORI (6.5x15 with 16 offset) without any problem at all.
lot of camber though. -3 front and -2 rear.
Without "-" camber, it will look like citizen's car.............
BTW, my RS-8 15x7 with 28 offset fit perfectly though.
Oh, I don't think they can clear Z brake, I have measure them. NO WAY !!

im runnng a 15x6+12 and it sits perfect witout camber or rolling and all that
theres no way thats x6.5 +25
Ditto - that looks more like 15*7 +/-0 or even -5. what probably happened was the inner (closer to suspension) part of the rim was swapped and used with a different face and outer part of the rim... so while the sticker on the rear half of the rim was on a 15*6.5, the wheel you have on could be any size... but it looks like it's got really low offset.
edit: JumpmanZ - 15*6.5 +16 will fit fine, and will look fine. You MAY not clear even stock brakes with that depending on the mesh design, so be careful. Otherwise, it should be fine as long as you're not running some insane/unsafe tire size. (like 225/50/15 or wider)

Thanks for the help guys. Abey, you said that 225/50/15 would be an unsafe size. Would 215/50/15 or 205/50/15 be okay?

i would run 205 at the most. theyre also cheaper.

Just swapped on my azenis onto the rims, inside stamped was 15x7 0 offset.
There ya go.
As for jumpman, 205 55 would be a good size for daily driven/sometimes fast or event. smaller sidewall will be more uncomfortable.
I would say something like 225/50/15 would be unsafe mainly due to the significantly wider tire (and very tall sidewall) than rim.
The "proper" size for a 15*6.5 wheel on an S13 would be either 195/60/15 or if you don't mind a slightly shorter sidewall, 205/55/15.
You can definitely fit a 215/55/15 tire on, but you will lose some cornering ability due to the large sidewall (meaning a lot of flex). I think the most popular tire size among 240 owners would be 205/55/15. It's a little wider than stock (more grip, hopefully) and has a slightly smaller ("shorter") sidewall for better cornering.
Generally, unless you're making more maybe 150 hp to the wheels, I think a 205/55/15 or 195/60/15 will be more than enough.
Good luck!

Just wanted to add: the Heros Racing mesh will clear your stock brakes, but not Z brakes. I have a pair in 15x6.5(+5), they fit (rolled fenders, -3 camber).
