I have a 1990 240sx With a swapped 1995 ka24de. The guy used a s13 ecu, MAF and distributor. My car is hesitating acceleration. This would make sense to be the problem. My question is What all is different on the s14 ka vs the s13 ka that would need to be changed when i buy a new ecu?

S13 and S14 ka's are identical except for emissions devices and s14 ka has coil inside dizzy and has crank sensor on tranny bellhousing. Both ecu's are the same except for few emissions sensors and obviuosly obd1 vs obd2

and the cams. so I figure i should get s14 dizzy, Maf and ecu and see if it fixed the problem.

S13 and S14 cams are slightly different, a tiny bit more aggressive on s13 but not enough to notice much difference

True. But if you take a newer engine and try to run it with a different computer and sensors will cause any car to run bad

if your motor has a s13 distributor, s13 maf, and lower intake manifold, it will work just fine with a s13 ecu. my buddy took the ka out of his 1996 s14, and put it in his 1993 s13. all he had to change was the stuff i just listed. so unless any of that stuff is bad, then that shouldnt be your problem. and if you try a s14 dizzy, maf and ecu, youll need a s14 upper wiring harness...

I'd just use the S13 Intake Cam, and also set the Timing...

have u ran codes off the ecu? my s13 would throw codes but the light wouldnt turn on even with new bulb.

i run an s13ka in my s14 ka-t the only thing i used was lower intake and dizzy and hot cams.

but i dont think its an issue with the ecu. have u done a tune up/check timming/vac leaks/ex, i kno if my o2 is unpluged the car acts weired.

Ended up being the wiring with knock sensor had to run my own wire from ecu and ground to sub harness. It was a code 34. Problem fixed, and I've never fallen inlove with a motor such like the Ka24de running at full potental. lol Great little 4 banger nissan created there.

Now if only i can fix my egr code 32 now lol.
