This is my father's car, we did everything together except build the engine itself. Only reason we are selling is because he wants to go 2JZ-GTE In a Next 240sx.

vehicle has about 12,000 miles on this engine over the last 4 years. Tuned on Pump gas 93 octane on wastegate spring pressure (13psi). Never run over 13psi. Never raced, never dyno'd. I will probably dyno the vehicle prior to selling it, in the coming week.
that is the GT2871r 57 TRIM with the big back housing (86) on a real full-race manifold.

While the engine was being built, we painted the entire car, including the engine bay, the factory color, Silver Moss. There was no body work there were no dings or dents prior to paint and I have pics of the car somewhere before it was painted. The turbo/lines/cams/pistons/rods/etc.. all came from ENJUKU RACING and cost about $5k total by themselves.

The parts used are authentic (REAL greddy intake, REAL greddy oil pan, REAL HKS BOV etc...) And we used a Megan racing "OEM APPEARANCE" Exhaust system for the sleeperish look.

More pictures to come of course, interior and exterior and with those shiny wheels.
Drivetrain was setup for lightweight- minimum power robbing components, including a knife edged crankshaft, steel lightweight flywheel, titanium retainers, etc...

Price: 20k or 17k without the wheels.
Car will be sold LOCAL PICKUP cashier's check or Bank wire only.

Averages 400 miles per tank of gas. highway A/F ratio is approx 15.2:1

more info I will be adding as I think of it:

1. Cruise control is functional!
2. Redline has been set to 6700rpm for all these years for safety (actual maximum RPM is around 8,000)
3. chassis has about 170k today
4. Most suspension components (UCA,LCA,TC-rods, and more) are upgraded and the car is perfectly aligned and lowered.
5. Intercooler plumbing is one-piece per side (no couplers in the middle of pipes) to minimize the possibility of leaks

Did I really see twenty thousand dollars? Are we talking USD here? Or some foreign currency used in a land where you do not pass go, nor collect $200?

Yeah ^ i believe I was one of the first people to view this last night when you posted it but didn't wanna say anything. Maybe it's just your starting price but realistically you should only expect half of that maybe a bit more. Clean car/ build nonetheless just don't want you to be bombarded by "lowball" offers.

If you're not willing to budge just swap the 2jz into this car. Anyways glws!

$20k without a full build list?? Yeah this should go well. If its nothing but the top notch brands throughout the entire car, maybe you can see close to asking. But if it's Megan/EBay/Circuit Sport anything on this car, then it will be hard to get even in the ball park.

Oh, car does not have to sell. We will keep this forever. But everything has a price, and $17,000 is what is invested cash money alone into the vehicle.

The only "megan" parts are:
exhaust
front TC-rods
Rear Upper control arms

The exhaust was chosen specifically for it's daily driver application in our state where they give tickets for APEXI type exhaust systems. I have plenty of other exhaust systems to install- take your pick from HKS to Apex.

I decided to give the megan control arms a trial run on this vehicle. First time using them. It holds alignment VERY well, for the last couple of years its been perfect.

Heres a quick breakdown for price:
1. OEM kouki 5k
2. Built SR20 5k
3. a real paint job 3k
Thats $13,000 already, now add a $1k computer $1k manifold $1k turbo $lines/fittings/plumbing/intercooler/wiring/differential/subframe/brakes/ etc... It will add up past 17k easily.

Oh yeah, and dont forget cruise control. This is a car like none-other, truly safe and complete like a factory vehicle. attention to detail is paramount
Just wait until I get a close up of the paint, this is not a daily driver paint job, its a show car paint job.

I expect this vehicle to take 2-3 years to sell, if it does. In the mean time, I am looking for a next kouki to swap a 2jz-gte.
We are going to make a 500rwhp automatic transmission daily driver, my dream to use a Chevrolet 700R4 transmission, 3.45 rear gears, 3200rpm stall, 9.5" lockup converter

you do realize everyone and thier brother has a SR swapped S14/zenki or kouki right?

You NEVER get what you put into these cars, they're a labor of love, no profit. I built a 1997 kouki for a customer, had over $30K in it, not including labor no cheap megan parts, built S14 kouki SR... even with all that, at the end of the day, it was just another 240 with a SR swap. Maight have been able to get 10-12K on a good day.

2-3 years to sell at this price wont happen, try another 30-40 years when it's a classic like a 240Z. Right now, there's just no market for $20K nissans, unless it's a R32 GTR, or a R33 GTST.

Good luck though, I hope Barret Jackson is still auctioning cars in 30-40 years, this will look nice going across the block next to 427 cobras and shit.

You keep throwing cruise control out there like it's a gift from god. Installing cruise on my s14 SR was probably the easiest part of the swap, which is saying a lot when the entire swap is a cake walk.

You have 17k invested. That DOES NOT justify you asking 17k for it. I've never met anyone who has done more than oil changes on their car that actually thinks they'll make what they put into the car. Until now..

Hahaha. I remember my first beer. this is ridiculous I have an R34 GT-T for $23k and you think a SR kouki will bring $20k you've lost your mind. When you said it doesn't have to sell you should've put won't sell. This is a typical Zilvian for you. But glws I'm sure somebody has $15k in cash laying around for a SR kouki since loan value is $5k.

GLWS. If I had the $17k to throw on this I'd just throw it into my own build. That's why it's hard to sell something like this at this price.

Kingtal0n
07-27-2012, 06:57 AM
There are over five koukis for sale on zilvia's first 2 pages and they all have OEM Sr20det engines in them asking 10k.

I do not think it unreasonable to ask another 5k for a fully built/completed kouki. Especially one that is seasoned and driven by a 60 year old man who takes care of it.
And everybody knows that cruise control raises the price to a godly level, and adds 500 horsepower. Obviously you guys are just noobs to the nissan game. ;)

holemilk00
07-27-2012, 07:05 AM
You keep saying fully built engine, and fully built car. You can validate you price a little more if you would actually post up a build/parts list for the entire car top to bottom. Look at some of the other cars that have sold on here for a hefty price. They all have an entire list of everything little detailed change to the car. You're asking a premium and just saying a few name brands and "fully built".

Was gonna say the same thing. Stock high mileage ones still go for around $7-8k.

3k for a show car paint job??? Lol

$3k sounds about right for a good paint job from a good shop. My brother had his EK hatch painted for around $2500 and it is an oem paint job or better. Been driving it for a year or two now and have not seen one chip or bubble.

How do you have a car's body restored without spraying on new paint? So you're saying I can have my car's faded to hell and chipping paint "body" restored and the paint will look as good as new again?

No..., that is not what I am saying.

You re-spray the car after restoring the body pannels. In a perfect world the car would be taken down to metal and straightened then re-preped, re-primed, re-sprayed and so on. Most cheap respray jobs they just respray new paint over the old damaged paint and whatever bondo they cake on there.

I like my car done right. Just how i have my stuff done.

Maybe I have a different idea of what "show car paint job" means.
