how can I tell if its an LSD

Hi, A buddy of mine told me heel sell me an s13 lsd. I say ok how much, 50 bucks he tells me, so obviously im a little skeptical. Ive seen some with VLSD sticker on it, but if its not on there, How can I tell if its an lsd, I really dont want to open it up. I know I can search for this question but while Im at it, He says its direct bolt on, but I have been reading, and it looks like I need output shafts, now Do I just need shafts for and s13 silvia or waht not. Thanks for any info.

just the LSD? or the entire pumpkin? if it's the entire pumpkin spin the side output shafts, they should spin together.

yah the whole pumpkin, do they spin in the same direction or in opposite directions, cause I remember spinning my open diff mustang and the wheels spin in opposite directions so im guessin they should spin in the same direction. just want to make sure. thanks.
