So i let my buddy who only drives hondas drive my 240. The asshole tries to do a burnout and Pulls the Ebreak and floors it (like a fwd car) the clutch just slipped for like 5 to 10 seconds and then he took off from 1st to second, after an argument i go to drive the car off and it is driving fine in 1st gear but then it wouldnt shift into 2nd. I got it home and let the clutch cool off and tried it agian, Now i cant even get the car into gear. Theres no pressure in the clutch line, before i tear it all down ......... whats your guess on damage ?
the cars a 91 hatch with a sr

This is a fail on your part, you let him in the driver seat, bleed the line, if that doesn't work get a new clutch/flywheel and go on with your life.

Ohio = the new Florida?
Your friend is an idiot.
You should not have let him in the drivers seat.
If you can put the car in gear with the engine off, but
Not with the engine running, clutch pedal pushed down, then it sounds like the friction material fragged.

Sounds to me like your Hondtard friend fucked up your tranny. A simple way to check is drain the tranny fluid and if the fluid coming out has what looks like black and metal grit your tranny got fucked up. If not put new fluid in and check out the clutch and flywheel.

All I can say is even the score if your buddy doesn't pay up.
get in his car and blow the motor. in that case he will learn not to fuck with other's cars.
I know this because this actually happened to me.

He should pay your $200 for clutch damage. If he doesn't, well you can always steal his car and part it out. That's one thing Honda's are known for. I remember back in high skool, all the kids would talk about stealing Honda's.

What would you call someone that gives their car to a clearly inexperienced driver and lets them do a burnout in their RWD with the E-brake up? For 5-10 seconds at that?

Not saying this happened but what if the friend was just imaginary and the truth is he was trying to do a burnout to impress someone. I just see someone making this story up. HAHA

Spot on, you pick your friends. You should be able to pick out the idiots. Shitty deal OP, you live and learn. Been in this situation with more then just cars and it sucks.
It's probably loss pressure or shredded. Look at it this way, would you rather have the clutch go or a blown motor?

Clutch sounds broke as fuck. Will it go into gears with the ignition off?
It's totally your fault for assuming he knew how to do a burnout in an fr car. Without me riding shotgun, nobody drives my car. That way if they break it i can punch them in the head right then and there instead of thinking about it between fail and them opening the door to step out looking mystified.

At least it wasn't your broke younger sister who you'd seen drive manual before, I wasn't in the passenger seat or else I'd have stopped her before she destroyed the clutch...

true story. i crashed my cousins s2k into a small road sign and got it stuck on the edge of the ditch. fixed it up for him and went on my way.
s2k need no countersteer. who knew?
moral of the story is letting others drive your car is like gambling. no matter how good or how lucky they are, you will never know.

You should check your master cylinder first, if its and old master cylinder it could be that when ur idiot friend tried to do a "burnout" he messed it up. You should disconnect the line going to the master cyl and see if lots of brake fluid comes out when u press down on the clutch pedal if only a little comes out then its time to replace and if thats good move on to ur slave cylinder and then if both are good then Its safe to say you need a new clutch

This is an idiotic statement. A friend is a friend, no matter what they drive. I have friends that still drive Honda's. Thing is, they aren't stupid, like the OP's friend.

I have never had any good outcome from other people using any of my things or driving any of my vehicles.. You need to learn how to say no man..
Before i learned how to say no...
friend asks, dude can i take your dirt bike for a lap around the track?? ( experienced rider) alright dude but dont get crazy with her.... comes on a down hill of the track wide open and someone trying to get onto the track pulls infront of him and the bike gets tossed.. breaking the gas take, bending subframe, completely breaking the radiators, deep dent into main frame, ruining shrouds.. Even though it partly wasnt his fault.. if i would have just said the simple word no .. none of it would have happened....
Other friend asks ( can i drive your nitro rc car man ?? ) i reply alright have fun, thinking hell take it easy since hes never driven a nitro rc. He takes it off a huge jump at a skate park and breaks a shit load of stuff...
I finally learned to say no when a girl asked me if she could drive my MKIV supra...

Agreed stupid statement
I have a few friends who own FWD Honda's as well as a decent S Chassis or two. Then again one of them buys the Honda's for dirt cheap fixes them up to about stock then flips them to some idiotic kid willing to pay 4k for a 180kmi 25yo car.

This is a learning experience for you, so please take notes.

I don't associate with FWD scumbags. Every single one of my friends (that are into cars) either drive RWD or AWD.

There is only 1 guy i trust enough to drive my S13: he has a 500+ HP one.
When i am forced to let someone else, i upload a kind of "valet mode" map with nistune: rev
[email protected] 3000 and speed limit @ 50km/h. Both are enough to bring the car from the park to the lift and back :)
