hey got oil light on recently so replacing oil pump and cleaning passages, does anyone know which cylinder tends to dry first? i want to check my bearings and clearances and make sure theres little to no wear...

also does any one have stock main and rod bolt torque settings? just trying to get it all in one posting to make it easy! thanks guys!

I don't believe dsm will cover which one goes dry first...maybe another way to ask is which cylinder failed on those that had complete oil starvation?

just check all the bearings... shit id just change em all, its not that expensive.

if youre going to use graded bearings the clearances should be between 1 and 2 thou... 2thou MAX! (mains), rods can go up to 3thou

and if youre getting bearings just get standard bearings, acls or something.

torque settings are 60lbs main and 33lbs rods... tighten in 2 stages

it all depends if one blocked up or not. i would be checking and replacing all if possible.

Cylinder 1 on mine died, 2,3 & 4 were all ok.

alot of info on clearances are in the S15 FSM
