ive heard of a couple of $3100 s13 swaps out there...but cant remember who told me bout that. JSPEC and phase 2 wants $1500 for labor but atleast you know its done rite.

From time to time (usually once a year) JDM Recycler has a big sale... last time I think it was an SR installed for ~$2500, but due to increased demand, I don't foresee that kind of pricing again. Expect to pay over $3000 for an installed motor.

are you talking just labor or with the motor? a shop that's done it before should charge you less than a grand for labor. the motor set should cost you 2 grand. dont get ripped off.

Grab a few friends, shoehorn the motor in yourself and send your wiring out to Heavy Throttle... then buy your friends lunch for however many days they help you on it! Should take no more than 2 or 3 weekends if you give it a good effort! You'll save yourself easily over $500 this way.

i did the swap by myself. in my garage with regualr hand tools from sears. no air tools. it was fun and a great learning experiance. if you have the space i would say do it yourself.

i got all my info from this site. check out the FAQ area. i got the wiring colors there. they were dead on. my car started right up.. took me about 2.5 hours total to finsih the wire harness. this was my first ever wire harness and it was not hard. just take it sensor at a time. and it is really not bad. i had more trouble getting the motor back in the car. the greddy turbo outlet kept hitting the steering shaft. i was by myself so i had to put the motor to the passenger side and then try to lower the motor.

everything else is just reinstalling what you took out;except use the sr20 stuff.
