ok so a few questions i have
1st will a second gen fan clutch fit with a 89 k( i know itll bolt on but it looks like its to close to the engine) so i want to make sure itll fit and
2nd i have a brand new clutch disk and pressure plate butno alignment tool so whats an alternative way of getting the proper spacing? thanks guys

What do you mean second gen fan clutch...

And I'd just get a clutch alignment tool. Napa, Auto zone, wherever. Hell I'd contact a friend, but then again, that's me.

ok the fan clutch from the 89 is a different style then i i think the 92 and up an i have one from a 93 but i noticed that the 1st gen sits a little further away than the 2nd but i still would likeit to work i mean i can always try it after i get tranny in but thought id see if anyone knew

fan clutch are all the same from 89-98 thats what the guy told me from an auto store. or you can do is go to www.rock-auto.com (http://www.rock-auto.com) and do a cross reference with the part number.

If the fan looks too close, just give it a spin and check for clearence. Im sure youll be fine. Clutch alignment tools are 2$ or so at autozone. Dont bother trying to jimmy rig an alignment tool, please save yourself the trouble.
