Why exactly is that ? I mean a lot of people join forums like this as soon as they get their project car and want to start buying parts for it or maybe only join the forum to buy parts for their project . If its helping the seller and the buyer out who are both members why have a waiting period ?

New Member Considerations
In order to combat spammers/scammers/trolls we do not allow new members to post in our Marketplace forums until an undisclosed status is reached. If you cannot post in the Marketplace it simply means you have not reached our level 2 membership. To achieve this, simply join the community for awhile, post and contribute quality material. It doesn't help to sell an item with zero posts. As you become more involved with the community your rights to forum features will be unlocked, such as signatures, avatars, marketplace access, etc.
This does not give you rights to post your for sale items in other forums, such behavior is a clear disregard of the rules and will result in deleted threads, and a pinking.

Once a day some stupid shit like this is posted, I would lose my shit as a mod and just start banning people.
Like any forum on the Internet, there are site rules, don't read them, your bad. Don't like them? Go somewhere else.

trust me I read the rules, just don't understand why, like personally I just bought my 240sx and need some parts for my s15 sr20 swap won't say what as to not offend anyone, but would like to get this finished up soon . Due to this 30 day rule that pushes back another 2 weeks . There's not a million and one s15 sr's floating around so I have to wait . I could understand not being able to sell due to scams but its hard to scam someone when they have your money .

Ps vehicle if you don't like my post don't comment on it, you didn't give me any information or even say anything slightly relevant to my question. It's people like you that should be banned .

You shall receive +103034094 interwebz for your valiant effort towards stupidity on such a public place such as a forum.
OP, that's just the rules. The point of this forum is for more productive contribution and having new members stink up the place is counterproductive. Not saying you individually would do that but it has happened.

Making people wait to start a FS thread is a good idea. IMO you should still be able to view the FS section, that way you can still buy. To me your trader rating is more important than a join date.

I'm not so specifically referring to wanting to sell things as much as buying things, although I do have a few parts I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in I can wait to sell those . Buying things is a whole new story, the waiting is supposed to stop scamming but as I stated earlier it's hard/impossible to scam someone when they have your money . just thought maybe if I brought attention to this it could be changed ? I'm a rebel lol

If you want to buy something, PM the user who is selling. Simple. Effective. To the point.
