installed my z32 diff last night. pretty easy no big deal. used j30 axles. and used the j30 axle bolts.(from diff to axle bolts). used the s14 drive shaft bolts ( diff to drive shaft bolts). okay today after driving it i noticed at low RPM when i accelerate i hear a clunk. i checked all the bolts. diff to axle, diff to drive shaft and axle nut bolts. they all are nice and tight. i did notice the bolts that go where the diff has the bushing seemed to go all the way up. there is a little gap in between. i tried tightening them but that's as far as they would go. any ideas...?

How do your Diff bushing look??
Usually when the diff bushings are shot, you'll get that clunking noise do to the slack given within the bushing.

if it's not the bushings (which it probably is), it could be too much backlash between the ring & pinion gear inside the diff

It's the rubber bushings for sure. You can use the ones from your stock diff, just take a knife or file or something and whittle them down until they can squeeze into the Z32's.
