Anyone ever hook up a air horn to their car? I can find my original horn wires to use that as a switch so I might just have to hook it up straight from the battery. What do I do with the relay.
......tired of not being able to honk at someone for being stupid...... :squintd:

I got 'em on my car and I love it! I think they are safer too b/c of their loudness. Anyone about to cut me off...WON'T! ;)

I have some too, since I have two factory horns on my s13, i just took one off, used the connector to that one to hook up the air horns and unplugged the second one but left it there so I can simply rehook the original for inspection. It's LOUD.

The relay is a pain without instructions. I just tried all the possible combinations until the horn worked without blowing a fuse everytime I honked. Search google for instructions, they're out there...

electric meaning they don't need a compressor? or ...meaning what?

yes... that is what it means. As far as the wiring on the relay, I'd have to go and look at it. I don't remember off the top of my head. But it's not that hard to wire up. My horn fuse was blowing after I hooked it up if I kept the honking for more than a few seconds. I replaced the fuse with a 20 instead of a 10 and problem fixed.

Okay! Well, I got it working. Dam its loud. Not as loud as i expected but loud. I ended up not using the relay. I read that the relay is only needed if you still want your stock one to work(mine didnt work anyways from the aftermarket wheel). Anyways, some horns use a 15A fuse and some use a 20A fuse. I used a 20A. I hooked it up to a button I bought at radio shack since i couldnt find my stock horn wires...Oh wells, work might fine. :D
