Haha Thank's yes i got a 08 Pathfinder 3.133 Diff to fit pretty good somehow ..So the gearing is really good now .. Upgraded the turbo so no more smoke stack! Now i am getting over 55MPG on french fry oil with the Hydrogen unit running .... Love this car !! It drives like nothing else in the world by far! and i just added a beefy trailer hitch to tow my S14 "The Silver Streaker" with lol

About 1100 With the tranny..So just a little more than an RB SWAP i made up by moving the engine back a good amount...

I absolutely love it! I'm a diesel fanatic and have never seen one in a 240. The exhaust your building from aluminum is interesting. Should save a lot of weight but what about egt's over 1000 degrees? Wouldn't the metal soften? Either way, I love it. Now put one in a Jeep Wrangler for me.

I've been building them for many Years now with no problems if done right! There's a few tricks you must know .. They only weigh in at 5 to 7lbs depending on the size and have a V band flange option 3" inch or 4"..

what was a rough cost of the entire swap in parts, not including labor?

About $8000 ..But due to the power to weight ratio being so crazy it pays for itself in fuel saving's in the first year lol That's if you drive a lot ..

NV4500.. Who makes an 8speed that fit's ?

07-16-2012, 08:10 PM
Oh I see.. I was under impression you took it out of a big rig .
But then again I don't think the car would be able to hold one.

can you give some greatly needed missing details?????

HP/Torque of the engine?
How much do JUST the engine/trannys cost? (i know you have countless hours of labor)
Does it drive like a truck that could tow a house or is it kinda quick too?

Thanks

4bt stock
105 hp @ 2300
265 lb-ft @ 1600

with new ic, injectors and turbo you can probably hit 200 whp and CRAZY tq

want one in my FJ80 but always cost prohibitive.

I hate to bump old threads but any updates? I'm curious what made you decide to do this in the first place.

I've wanted to do this forever! From what I understand it's basically the diesel version of a small block as far as mounting?
