hi guys,

i got alu subframe bushes (solid bushes) for my s13, already in the subframe.
problem is now i cant lift up my subframe into the mounts because there is too much tension on it.
the car wasnt on wheels since two years thats why it moved a little i think.
anyways i need to press the subframe in a bit by force until the nut fits.
but when i want to lift the subframe up a little, i lift the whole car up.
so my thinking was to put a chain from teh chassis to the ground oder i build me a press in tool, maybe from the backseat hole which is near the position of the mounts.
has anyone done this before?

Sounds like the subframe isnt square with the car. It needs to go in pretty perfect. Readjust your angle and youll get it

mhm ok i try. i think i remove the diff, maybe its easier with less weight.. did you just lift it up then? or used a hammer until the nut fitted in?

I installed a subframe with SPL solids on an s14 by myself years ago
a couple of jacks and some common sense is all it took me.

put one of the bushings out and measured again.
the hole was 0.3mm too small.. after fixing that, the bushings wentin pretty well!
