Hey guys I was in the market to pick up an s chasis for a full drift build. I ended up picking up what i thought was a clean 93 s13 5sph a blown head gasket for $260 from an older lady. Yes $260. I get hr home and started ripping her apart and realized underneath the rear wing on the hatch has a few rust holes where the holes are on the wing. This is the ONLY part on the car with rust, so i was wondering if this is a common problem? Regardless im just going to either get a new hatch or fix them with some sheet metal or something but just had me a little worried. BTW this is my first s chasis car

Didnt even think about searching on google for some dumb reason. Noob. Thanks guys I wont worry about it then and just fix it or get a new hatch. Idc if they want to turn this into a shit storm, they can go ahead and will be ignored because of their immature behavior and sucky lives they live. Thanks again! Im used to civics with big turbos so the s chasis is a whole new thing to me

Very common area for rust! The spoiler is like a sponge and the light tends to rust some as well. Easy to patch or swap the hatch. Great find for $260!

This.
If you're a weakling, the hatch swap will be a two-three man job. It's not so much on the heavy side, it's just bulky to a point where working on your own is such a bitch.

Yeah im either welding some sheet metal all or if i can find a whole hatch cheap ill pick one up. Just seems awkward to pick up by myself. The factory spoiler seems wayyy to how can i put this... rubber like? I thought it would be a little bit better quality from factory. And for what i paid for it, its going to be one hell of a build. Already have a bunch of parts stacking up and will make a build thread when i actually have time to start wrenching on her
