The Rick James one was the best that Chapelle has ever done on the show, and that is saying a LOT, compared to what he has done before... The best part is how he had the real superfreak breaking in to validate what we should believe was a fictional story... "Cocaine is a helluva drug..." The prince one was good, but nowhere near Rick James. "This bores me... You guys wanna play some ball?" Don't forget that season one comes out on DVD this coming tuesday, the 24th guys. I, for one, will be at best buy at 10am to get it...

Hell yeah, to have Rick's validation of the story was GENIUS on Dave's part, I thought that the FIRST time I watched it. Now that I have seen it Re-aired at least 6 times since I can't stop laughing at it, it'll be on in about 5 minutes at that :rawk: .

They just say it, usually based on how much they laughed the first time when they first saw it and how long it stays funny afterwards. If you think all the skits were good then that's great, but I've watched threw a few skits that were mediocre.

He really is Eddie's older brother, look back to Eddie's old shit, like "Raw" and "Delirious," he mentions Charlie quite a bit. Then there's the family resemblance you mentioned. Charlie was in the navy when eddie got on and came out to a foot in the door, I guess he was lucky. Anyone rmember Charlie playing Gusto in the movie "CB4"?


I got the season 1 DVD this morning, but haven't had time to watch it yet, but I'm off tomorrow. In my area, however, it is my understanding that if you didn't have it before noon you will be waiting until thursday. I got to best buy at 10:20 and here they put a table with new releases at the front of the store on a table and when I got there, there were only like 3 or 4 of the Chappelle DVDs on the table, I go to the CDs to see if they have the new Royce da 5'9", also released today, and get to the front and EVERYONE in line has at least 1, one dude actually had THREE copies. Best buy didn't have the CD, so I went to Circuit City, find the CD and to the front with me, same result, EVERYONE in line has at least one copy and a couple have 2 of them. I get to work and people that come in later or going to lunch tell me that they scoured all the stores, along with record stores, target, wally world and Kmart to find that they were sold out. This thing is selling like free crack.

That skit was so much more then just that scene. Dave playing Rick James, the Rick James interviews, and the way Charlie Murphy told the story. It was all funny.

One of the funniest things I've heard on the show was the Player Haters Awards. Where Dave says he wouldn't fight Rosie ODonnel because her underwear has a dickhole.
