Hi, so I'm getting an s14 that has a JDM Kouki Front Bumper, but I was wondering if there is some extra necessary steps to make the conversion happen? Such as bumper support, etc. Here's the site I found for the USDM front bumper, maybe you guys know of a more reliable site? Also he mentioned that he isn't selling it with the turn signals and whatnot, I'm not to familiar with with those are, the ones on the side or the ones on the front. Anyways here's the link:

Check the For Sale section. I've seen plenty go for next to nothing - with no lip of course.

So wait, you wanna get rid of the JDM bumper?!?! If it already has a kouki bumper on it, specially a JDM one, it shouldnt matter what bumpers on it. If you go from a USDM bumper to a JDM, you have to do some trimming of the metal bumper. If you're slapping back on the USDM one, you dont need anything other than you freaking out that the metal bumper is hacked up and you want an unfucked metal bumper.

I know I sound like a complete noob, but I wasn't to sure whether or not work was needed, but this is what the car looks like, and I'm pretty sure that's the JDM front bumper, then again....I'm a noob at all this.

No you aren't. But I will say that after seeing a JDM bumper with the license plate section deleted, I started to like them.

Hi, so I'm getting an s14 that has a JDM Kouki Front Bumper, but I was wondering if there is some extra necessary steps to make the conversion happen? Such as bumper support, etc.

It seems the car is already complete, meaning fenders, hood, bumper retainer, and lights, you don't need to "mod" anything at all. Unless the owner made a conversion, 95-96 to the 97-98 front-end, then you will need the following items to complete:

fenders, hood, bumper retainer, and lights (headlights, cornerlights, and turn signals).

Here's the site I found for the USDM front bumper, maybe you guys know of a more reliable site? Also he mentioned that he isn't selling it with the turn signals and whatnot, I'm not to familiar with with those are, the ones on the side or the ones on the front

As for the turn signals, it will be the orange lights in the front:

Also, if the car looks exactly how the above picture, you "don't'" need to mod anything at all since it's complete.

IMHO, USDM bumper looks like shit and never liked it.

i dont even understand why this thread exists

the guy has a perfectly nice front-end. about the only thing i can comment on are the headlights which are non compliant here in the US

seriously, we should have the ability to take parts from people who just dont know better

dude needs to check himself before he wrecks himself.

On my first S14, I had to trim down the edges to fit my bumper. It was too fat at the edge so I had to cut the metal bumper at the corners so the bumper cover would fit over it.

Anyways, back to the OP...if you decide to part out that JDM bumper, I got dibs on the fog lights!!!

Nah, it just wasnt an OEM bumper. It was a Friends bumper. On my current car, zenki conversion, I didnt have to trim the metal bumper to fit it.

I fail to understand why everyone's getting hostile. It was a simple question and a personal opinion on bumpers, yes I'm a noob when it comes to 240sx's. I come from integras. I had a boosted integra, but then it got stolen. So I'm looking for a RWD Japanese cars. And watching 240sx videos, fell in love. My bad for trynna learn and asking question. Guess that isn't taken lightly here.

EDIT: I looked at the car, I guess you guys are right about the car looking fine the way it it. It was just a question though, real talk..

Like already said, if thats the same exact car, please dont butcher it by changing the bumper to a USDM one. The only way the USDM one looks decent is with the optional bumper lip. Those arent exactly readily available and is more expensive than a whole bumper.

Think of it this way.
How would you feel if I were to post in a Honda forum a similar question.
How I just bought an Integra with a complete and clean JDM front end asking
how to revert it back to the stock USDM front.
