Hooked up the lower engine harness, plugged in the battery, positive side first, then negative, and as soon as the negative terminal is plugged in, it sparks like crazy and the alternator fuse pops.

Inserting the key and cranking it all the way yields nothing. Lights, HUD, nothing works.

I replaced the fuse and it popped as soon as I inserted it.

I'm thinking ground loop. IIRC I hooked up the fat white wire to the alternator, and the smaller black wire to the alternator as well with a small bolt (I'm guessing thats a ground).

If that wiring is correct, is there any specific place the ground wire is supposed to go on the alternator? The starter ground & wire are also hooked up properly.

The other end of the main ground is connected to the stock location, the smaller secondary ground on the back of the block is on, and I also have a couple of areas where i grounded both manifolds and the block myself.

Let me know if you have any hints/ideas. Tired of dealing with this shit.

Thanks
