Which Fan To Use?

Setup:

Chassis: S14
Motor: S14 SR20det
Radiator: Koyo S14 SR20det
Shroud: S14 SR20det
Clutch Fan: RB25det

For 4 years I was running an aftermarket electric fan on my radiator that was ziptied into the core. Part of the core failed, so instead of welding that part off, I purchased a new Koyo. This time I didn't re-install the aftermarket electric fan because I didn't want to risk it compromising the core over time (which is what I think was the culprit the first time around).

So, the question is:

Which fan, KA24de or SR, can I run on the radiator that bolts onto it without having to run zipties into the radiator?

KA Stock clutch fan is fine (research as this has been debated quite a few times in the last decade)

If you decide to go back to electric, the FAL model 345 fits the Koyo.

Been running on mine since 2005. Solder/heat shrink is of the utmost importance.

Thanks for the info - yeah, I've seen the debate back and forth over the years but never paid it much mind since my electric fan was ostensibly functioning correctly. My question/concern with running an FAL set up is that, at high speeds/freeway, the fans getting in the way of the natural air flow to the radiator. I suppose I could put a switch on it to turn off though. Hmmmm..
