Thats just a regular Hks bov, i have one on my Talon.
Here is an example of compressor surge, its starts when the turbine spools faster than the compressor side can handle, it makes the car look like its gonna jump off of the dyno..

We've determined its not compressor surge already... if you wanna know what compressor surge sounds like, disconnect the vacuum line on your BOV and drive around....
