bad knock sensor?

I was pulling codes today and it came up with code 34 - bad knock sensor. I searched this topic and almost everyone who experienced this had a major decrease in performance and horrible gas mileage along with a check engine light. Now I haven't experienced any of these three symptoms and was thinking it might be possibly something else that causing it to throw this code?

I would hate to replace a 150$ part that would take a decent amount of time to do. My car doesn't feel any more sluggish than it was before. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
