so i just swapped my s14 sr20 and i already set the boost controller to 15psi (ecu was tuned for 15 so im leaving it that way) it makes boost but right when it makes 15 it drops all the way to 9-10 psi (around 5-5500 rpms it drops) and it flutters real bad. iv been searching and im pretty sure its the bov cause i bought a peace of shit hks ssqv from ebay (YES I KNOW IM A DUMB ASS!!!) :picardfp: i just wanna see wat you guys think it is and if it is the bov, wats a good bov? iv heard those godspeed RS-SERIES 50MM V BAND are really good but i dont see to many reviews. please help me out so i can send this shit in for a tune! thanks.

Get a GReddy bov thats adjustable or a bov rated to your hp range. (Guessing 275-350?)

Tial, FTW!
Your spring rate is going to depend on the vacuum at idle from your intake.

thats what im currently running.
Does it only leak in 5th gear? or all?

Does it rev beyond 5500 rpm or does it hit a 'fake' rev limiter by chance?
I'd check for boost/vacuum leaks and obviously attempt to pull codes on it.
BOV wise, well...don't sort your choices by cheapest first...no one with half a clue would suggest a godspeed product as being 'good'.

Your BOV is probably creeping open once you make power and staying open.
I have Greddy RS, I HIGHLY recommend. Buddy has the RZ and it's great too.
I'm sorry I don't know anything about the godspeed bovs :/
Test to see if it's the BOV. Fabricate a block off plate for the bov flange and plug the vacuum line going to the BOV. See if it pulls at 15psi to redline after that. :)
To fab block off plate, just go to lowes and get a piece of metal approximately the right size, drill 2 holes wherever necessary to bolt up to the flange, and use RTV to seal it. VOILA! Then you'll know if it's your BOV for sure or not.
(It doesn't do any REAL damage to run without BOV)
I know multiple people who've ran without them at 300+whp on KA-T and SR.
They're just a luxury, longevity/spool bonus.
