I just so happen to own a '91 240sx fastback and I love it. Not a car expert by any means but have driven more than my fair share of sports cars and actually owned a few as well. It is underpowered but ofcourse this is the place to find out how to take car of that. As for reliability mine has 185,000 miles and I don't abuse it but I also don't baby it. Only had it bout a month so too soon to tell but feels like it can still take a good beating.

Comparing the coupe and with the hatchback. I know that any car in the same basic body style, the hatchback will turn out weighing more. With the body structure of hatchback, the car need to be reenforced. Where as the coupe doesn't need the reenforcement.
From my knowledge......

Yea the hatchback is an awesome car. It might be underpowered for straight line drag but the KA motor is more then enough to to take on some higher power cars through the twisties. The engine and chassis are an excellent combination to begin building up your basic driving skills.

91 hatchback(s13 Hatchback) is the bomb!! There I said it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> . yes I own one with 22,000 miles on it, for real! They are great cars and IMHO look better than the s13 coupe . If you want a coupe I say go S14 . Otherwise 91 Hatch is the car. It was so popular in Japan (180sx) they sold it all the way up to 1998. That says something about the S13 hatch

yes . It was a low mileage car that got hit in the front end in 1997. It had bumper , fender , headlight cases and radiatior core support 'damage. That was enough damage to declare it a total. seeing as all those parts plus paint would run well over $5000. blue book at the time for a base model.
It sat for 3 years at the body shop. then the owner of the body shop decide to sell his shop . so he fixed it. You cannot tell it was wrecked . He did a great job and yes the car looks like it came from the dealer last year. It drives great. He had a hard time selling because It has a Salvage title . I paid $3900 for it and it was worth every penny IMO .
may the drift be with you , dpro
