Hey guys,

I have an SR with a 9lb Toda lightweight flywheel, single piece ds, and a fairly new RPS MAX 6 puck clutch. If im not mistaken, the clutch hub is unsprung, but don't quote me on that. When I am cruising in gear, i can hear a loud chattering sound. When gas is applied, the chatter goes away. Only appears around 2k RPM. Is this normal?

I've heard similar rattle/chatter sounds due to a bad pilot bearing or TOB, but could it just be due to my clutch setup?

It could be your VTC gear rattling...

Does it chatter when you're coming down from high rpms?

No it's absolutely coming from the drivetrain.

Not really, say I'm up at 5k, then I stop accelerating and let the RPM come down, it only chatters around the 1800-2200 mark only when the gear is still engaged. When the clutch is pressed down, or the car is in neutral, there is no sound in any RPM.
