sr speed limiter

i just searched for a good while and didnt find the info i was looking for. i want to know if the sr's speed limiter can be fixed like a ka's....they have to cut a yellow wire with green stripes...is it the same for sr if not is the only way to solve this with buying something expensive....i wish it was just a wire cut like i thought....any info would be nice i didnt find much info on the search
