View Full Version : S14 Diff mounting bolt/washer/bushing question

The previous owner didn't seal the diff correctly so I have to pull it to reseal the cover. I have never seen a stock S14 diff mounting bolts so I'm a little curious if he installed the bolts correctly.

I'm going off of the FSM which shows this:

This is how he actually installed it.

It goes: subframe - bushing - collar - diff ears - washer with integrated bushing, metal side facing the ground - washer - bolt

I just want to know if this is the correct order. Thanks.

i was wondering the same question 3 days ago but ya. other way if i am right spacer on top and bushing on bottom so basically reverse bottom pic busing wise but leave metal washer on bolt

Based on your comments I looked through Courtesy's parts diagram and saw this.

So apparently it goes:

subframe - washer with integrated bushing, metal side facing subframe - diff ear - bushing with collar - washer - bolt
