COuld i know what will happen when the starter fails........could i still jumpstart it even if the starter died out.....//??/ pls help i dont know what to do cause my car got prob now.......thanks a lot all

if the engine doesn't turn, it's the starter, only after you make sure the battery is working and the wires are not corroded.... check the starter relays, if the engine crank and doesn't want to start, chances are, it's the starter solenoid..... if not, then it's the starter

if ur starter's dead then jump starting won't work. If u turn the key and the engine doesn't turn try to get under ur car and bang something against the starter a few times, and then try to crank it again. That usually gets it going.

Yeah what he said...just bang the starter a few times or else have someone push the car and pop the clutch and it'll turn on. I just replaced my starter and it was relatively easy, could be done in under an hour.

at the time, I would try to turn on the car and all I would hear was a click, no crank or anything. I was able to push start the car home and bought another starter. Once replaced, the engine turned on and hasn't given me a problem ever since. This was about 10 months ago.

Wow thanks for the reply all.......i went to sears to get it checked and found it was the battery i got from them was having problem....thanks alot...*phew* ;)
