I have been looking to put together a summer wheel and tire package. While browsing around on the internet I couldn't help but noticed that the 94-03 Ford Mustang uses a 17x8" Wheel with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern and +30 offset. If memory serves me 4.5" = 114.3, right? And S14 fit +30 offset well. Does anyone know if this will work? By the way if it does fit their is a guy selling OEM Mustang GT wheels (19lbs ea) for $180 per set. He has a ton of 'em!

yeah they will fit. Aceinthehole uses some, and so does badmojo. badmojo uses the SVT cobra rims, and ace uses 98(?) GT rims.

Will 255-40 meats fit in the back on these rims?
I used to be a mustang guy, so naturally i feel ripped off every time i by something for my nissan. Once i go 5 lug i'm gonna definitely get the 98 cobra rims. 17x9/17x10.5 and the whole set will cost me less than 600 bucks shipped!! compared to some volks that are 600 a piece!!..the only jdm parts on my car are pillow ball mounts. everything else is australian, german, italian, or domestic.

Well they are OEM ford, MADE IN USA, er....well......no really though, usually any original equipment manufacturer will sacrifice ALOT of performance (read: weight in this case) for durability. I don't know if you've ever been to Detroit, but those wheels had to hold up to the tests of these streets. And let me tell you, the streets here in Michigan are terrible!

not to mention they are built for a 3700 pound hog of a car

Heartwork and you other guys with Mustang rims, I am hoping you can help me. Forgive me if I am wordy. I have for a long time(at least since they were released......thought I was being original :eek3: ) wanted to put the Cobra Y2K rims on my car, I am unsure about the fronts being 17x9 with a +24mm offset, I am concerned about them clearing struts up front(or coilovers in case I step up). Anyways, I got a few pics from last month when a guy at my work let me test fit a 17x9 Cobra R rim on my front..I didn't take off and drive with it, I just wanted to get an idea for fit, from the pics does it look like a problem a different tire size might fix, or worst case a very small spacer (5mm or less)?. Please disregard the cars filthy condition, I live in Seattle and drive an hour to work every day...couple hours a day on the freeway in the rain behind semi's can do that to a car in a short time. Also want to note I have a 300zx brake kit and a AGX/RSR Spring Combo waiting to be installed, just collecting a few more pieces before I start installing :)
Thanks for any info offered

yea, Works up front...looks super ghetto with the non lip wheel outback, but hey, $290 for a pair of 18x9 wheels to learn drifting on is justifiable to me :D

You know, I was looking in my Summit catalouge*sp. They sell the GT rims in both 5 and 4 lug, with the same specs. I guess to fit the older 5.0's or something. Anyway, the same wheel in the pics at the start of the thread, and I could still use old-school JDM, or my recently painted black stock rims. Sounds good to me.

http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=wheelSearchCloseUp&wheelIndex=24&sizeIndex=0&showRear=no&setIndex=4&filterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=. heres what I was thinking. I guess It would be best to go with a 5 lug conversion, so you could use OEM wheels, and 300 brakes without redrilling. anyone know if a 5-lug S14 has the same brakes as an S13 except 5 lug rotors? cuz if they were the same size, I would just get Bremb blank rotors for a S14, and just use the stock brakes.

where did you get them for $300? I have found them at $145 a piece, no cheaper. Now, to me, that is not a bad price for the specs, but $300 is a lot better than $600

I saw the auctions for these wheels on ebay as well and was going to bid for set until I heard they were 26lbs each. Can any verify that they're 20lbs rather than 26?

I just purchased a set of Y2K Cobra 18x9 +24 with 245/40/18 off of ebay for $993 shipped. You could get the wheels alone for $520 shipped ($100 per wheel plus shipping). They also have deals on the 17's too. I will take pics of the wheels when they get in. BTW, if anyone knows of a good deal on a 5 lug swap, let me know.
