what color to paint???

going to be painting the 240 (s14) very soon and i cant decide on a color... top secret gold, and a light grey are the top 2 so far..any ideas, or links to 240 pics would help

I'm very partial to silver. And if you go with a large metal-flake, the color just POPs.

And a gold ... well, I'd have to see the particular gold. Gold done right looks great, but anything less than the perfect color looks like crap. You have to be REAL careful with gold and shades of gold.

If its a kouki i like nissan midnight purple and starfire blue (oem colors), Honda Silverstone metallic (s2000), BMW Carbon Black Metallic, BMW Merlot (burgendy)

If its a zenki i like nissan silverstone (350Z), honda suzuka blue (USDM blue s2000), honda monte carlo blue (CRV, JDM s2000), Toyota burgendy color that current camrys are, Tafeta white from the prelude and RSX.

notice how i picked all oem colors, its makes it alot easier if u ever get into an accident to paint your car quickly.

Of the 2 colors you listed, I would say I personally would rather see the silver than the gold, but thats just my .02

1. dont have to worry about color matching
2. you can panel paint instead of blending on to the next panel(s)
3. once you run out, just buy another pint, quart, gallon and it will match.
4. The Bling Factor It looks so rich and sexy going down the road :drool:

something rather stock-ish. cause once you get sick of your body parts, you'll want to sell em. and well once you slapped on an expensive paint job, i doubt anyone would want to buy it/ruin it. paint it like black or soemthing. better yet, that jdm silver color on kouki's i believe

God dammit you S14 mother fuckers.....evry one i see is Black..Grey...or White....i wanna see more Reds like EONE's.....i say if you want some thing stockish...get a dark green..that wouldnt be to flashy.....Just please some color....seeing all these Black grey and white S14 makes me depresssed...haha

thanks for the replies...im leaning towards a semi-flat silver/grey. with black and like colors..swirl marks would kill me after spending the money for a complete color change.

your best bet is going to a paint supplier and going through thier paint books, and look at all the colors with the different tints, etc. Doing a totally different color does cost more, if you want it done right, jamming, etc.

I was thinking about reclearing mine with a matte clear, so its flat black. that would help alot with scratches, swirl marks etc.
